OLVCS Updates

We had our first Faith Family for the school year. If you are new, a Faith Family is a mix of students from all grades into a family. When we meet, the families complete team building activities, service projects and work to build community. It gives our older students the opportunity to assume a leadership role and our younger students a sense of connection. It is a favorite among students and teachers. I love seeing students pass in the hall, say hello to one another, then add… “He (or she) is in my Faith Family! Today they discussed Virtue more about that in the next Update.

Remember to make your Walk-A-Thon donation, you have through October 1st to be eligible for class and individual prizes.

• About one week until our school's only all-school fundraiser, the Walk-A-Thon! Thank you for your generosity and continued support! These funds support so many crucial aspects of our school!

• We will accept donations at any time, but donations are due BY MIDNIGHT, October 1st to count towards class, student, and family prize eligibility. We currently have 46% of our families that have met the goal of $200. Click HERE to donate!

• We hope you will join us for Mass at 9:00am on Monday, October 7th to celebrate and give thanks for our amazing school.

• The afternoon Walk-A-Thon and assembly will begin at 12:35pm. We welcome all families to join us! You may walk with your elementary child(run), run with or cheer on your middle schooler(s), watch the prizes get handed out at the assembly, and witness the big TOTAL reveal. It really is an amazing site to see!

• Business sponsorships are also available.

• The total Coin Drive donation and winning class will be announced during the Walk-A-Thon Assembly on Monday, October 7th!

• OLVCS is partnering with Weis Markets in their annual Weis 4 School program.

• By participating in this program, we can earn money for our school by simply shopping.

The Crusaders defeated Sugar Valley again in their rematch last week! Wish them luck as they head to West Branch High School on Saturday to play in the Warrior Blast Tournament.

Come out and support the team during their next match against Belleville on Monday, September 30th at 4:00PM! The game will be played in Orchard Park.

Just a reminder! The preschool will also be closed on Friday the 27th for staff development. Thank you!

Our Annual Bazaar will be held on Saturday, October 26, from 8:00am to 3:00pm. We will have foods, crafts, baked goods, basket raffle, children’s games, and much more. Come join in the fun! Hope to see you there!
