GOLD MEDAL EDITION
Working together; succeeding together.
As Treaty people, we take this moment to honor the lands of Treaties 4 and 6, and all they have provided to us and our families across many generations. These lands have long served as traditional meeting grounds, gathering places, and traveling routes for the Cree, Dene, Nakota, Dakota, Saulteaux, and Ojibway peoples since time immemorial. We also recognize these lands as the homeland of Métis Nation Eastern Region II.
We honor the ancestors whose footsteps have shaped these lands. We acknowledge that our use of these lands has come at a profound cost, including the impacts of colonialism and the residential school system. With this recognition, we commit to working together toward reconciliation and forging a path forward that honors the past and builds a better future for all.

PJ Day on Monday
Third Time Was, Most Definitely, The Charm
The third time was the charm, the PPCS Senior Boys Basketball brought home the SHSAA 1A Boys Gold on the weekend. The air was electric as the boys took the court for warm ups, preparing to battle the Preeceville Panthers. The girls from Preeceville had just won gold and the boys were looking to make it a pair. From the first whistle to the last, the boys gave 100%, they left everything on the court and it paid off. The crowd was loud and proud. Many eruptions of "Go Bears Go!" and "De-Fense!" thundered across the gym, often drowning out the announcers and other fans alike. There were some tense times in the 3rd, but coaches Bloski and Morin were able to settle the boys back in to get the job done. As the final 45s ticked down, the crowd came to its feet. As it became more and more apparent what was about to happen, the roar to grew to epic proportions. The final buzzer went, but I am not sure anyone heard it over the crowd. Event staff stopped trying to contain the Porcupine contingency as friends, family, and alumi flooded the court. There were many hugs, tears, and cheers. As the boys entered the school common area following the game, the crowd once more erupted, more hugs, tears, and cheers. After 2 silvers, the boys had done it, gold was ours. Congrats to coach Bloski and the boys on anther epic season, with the finale we all wanted, and they so deserved. Hats off to Preeceville for a well fought battle.

Volunteers and Athletes of the Month
Volunteer of the Month
Miss Whitney
Ms. Whitney has joined forces with Mrs. Brezinski to lead the PPCS curlers this season. Her lively spirit and enthusiasm brighten the players experience and day. We appreciate all the help and time you have given, hopefully we can continue to have you on our team. Thanks again.
Athletes of the Month
Emma Pohl Emma has had a great Feb on the PPCS curling team. She plays as a lead or second who is accepts feedback well and has been a great teammate. Her coaches are impressed with her level of improvement and her dedication to the game on her own time. You rock Emma, keep up the good work.
JR Antazo JR Antazo is a solid pick for this months Athlete. JR is a top performer on O and D with the Sr. Boys and can be found pushing himself and his teammates to do better. He is the fastest player end to end as he passes by opponents who are also astonished by how hard he goes. JR is in his last year with us and we thank him for his time, skill, leadership and would like nothing more than to see him go out on top. Good luck in the playoffs JR.

Check Your Punch Card Balance
We have had a significant punch card update.
In the past, as we got new accounts we simply added them to the bottom of the list so that our families would not have to relearn their place in the list of accounts. That has become very difficulty to manage. As a result, we have alphabetized the list on our end and updated account numbers to reflect your child's current grade followed by the last 4 digits of your phone number (i.e. 113213, grade 11 phone number ends in 3213).
Punch cards have been updated to the most recent values heading into semester 2. Please let us know if there is an error.
