A Message From The Principal

Can you believe we're already a week into May? Sometimes I wish I could hit the pause button just to have a little more time with our students. Since that’s not possible, we make sure to savor every moment—especially now, as we prepare to send our treasured fifth-graders off to middle school.

Amid the bittersweet feeling of this transition, we also get to enjoy a month filled with fun and memory-making. I encourage you to take a look at the calendar below and find a time to join us for one of our exciting May/June events as we close another wonderful chapter at EBE.

WCASD Board Policy 237- Use of Personal and District Technology Devices

We have seen a recent uptick in the use of personal devices while at school. In accordance with WCASD Board Policy 237, moving forward our students will be required to keep their smartwatches and cell phones in their backpacks during the school day. Thank you for your support!

"The Board prohibits use of personal technology by students during the school day in district buildings; on district property; on district buses and vehicles, and during the time students are under the supervision of the district (collectively "on-campus"); unless use is permitted under the guidelines of this policy."

PTO Board Openings

Hi, EBE Families!

Our PTO board is beginning to look ahead to next school year. There will be many board positions opening up, and we would love for anyone interested to reach out to us! There will be openings for Co-President (1), Co- Vice President (2), Recording Secretary (1), Co-Treasurer (1), and PTOC Rep (1).

If you'd like more information, check out this *Role Responsibilities Guide*, which enumerates the duties for each role on the PTO board, per our *PTO Bylaws*. Of course, the PTO Board's main goal is to enhance the educational experience for our students, teachers, and staff at EBE to the best of our abilities!

Elections for the 2025-2026 PTO Board will take place at the May PTO meeting (Tuesday, May 20th at 6pm). If you'd like to be considered for a position, please reach out to us by April 30th so we are prepared ahead of the meeting. Also, please plan to be available for the May 20th meeting.

We welcome any questions/thoughts on this process and would love to hear from you!

Reminder - Only those on the attendance list are permitted to attend. For Safety, no one is allowed to attend the event without checking in with our front office.

We will have carnival games, an inflatable obstacle course, face painting, cupcake walk, AMAZING raffle items, and more!We'll have (pay as you order) food trucks to choose from for your dinner: Buddy's Burgers, 22 BBQ, and Philly Pretzel Factory!

(There will be gluten free and vegetarian options available!)

We will also have a COMPLIMENTARY dessert truck from Pelican's Snoballs!

This year, we will also be kicking off our online Silent Auction at 5:30pm the evening of Spring Bash! Previews of many items will be available at the event - please check it out and head to the website for bidding options! *All proceeds to directly benefit the students, teachers, and staff of EBE!*

This event can't happen without our wonderful volunteers! Please consider signing up to help with this fun evening! Shifts are for half the event - you can spend the other half getting dinner and watching your kids have FUN!
