New Promoting STEM Through Literature Books ⬇️
Visit the PSTL Website for Lessons and Resources
Use literature to get your students excited about science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) by actively involving them in the design thinking process. Each of the titles below shares a story where something was built or invented by designing, planning, gathering materials, and creating. In addition to strengthening literacy skills, your students will develop inquiry and problem-solving skills. They will also see that with perseverance, anyone can be innovative and invent new things!

Classroom Technology Management Tips and Tricks
It's best to remember manage the students, not the technology.
Alligator🐊 and Turtle🐢
That shinny screen in front of your students can be distracting when you need to give direct instructions. Ask your students to "Alligator" their Chromebook screen (like a alligators mouth) or for iPad users to Turtle their iPad (case up is like the turtle shell up😉)
This will take away the temptation to look at the screen but will not require them to log back in when you are ready for them to get back to work.
3D Pens
First grade students at Adrian Alexander recreated drawings from their My Family unit. Middle Schoolers in Sand Creek ended their unit by creating the cells and atoms they learned about.
