A Message From the Principal
Viking Family,
We are looking forward to welcoming our families to the Vistas Open House this Thursday, August 29th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. We will have information tables opening at 5pm for families to visit. Make sure you stop by to get your students free backpack, the family outreach table if your family is in need of any services, Herff Jones for your graduation needs, and so much more. Our classroom tours will start at 5:30pm where you will follow your students shedules and have an opportunity to meet the teachers. For more information, please click on the schedule below.

School Reminders
Vistas Student & Family Contract Reminders
- Be on time! School starts at 7:25am. Dismissal is 3pm.
- If students come late...they MUST check in thru the front office.
- Medical excuse - must turn in the medical note within 5 days.
- If students need to leave early...they MUST check out thru the front office. They MUST have parent/guardian permission, even if they drive to school.
- Students must wear their ID badge, on a lanyard, around their neck visible at all times.
- Cell phone policy strictly enforced. Cell phones must be put in the cell phone holder when they enter any classroom.
- Dress code...no crop tops, spaghetti straps, sagging pants or pj's.
- Vistas is a closed campus.
- Only parent/guardian on Skyward can bring food for their student.
- Students may NOT leave campus for lunch.
- No food delivery such as Uber Eats, etc.
Vistas Early College High School
ECHS Cohort 2025 & 2026
Lone Star classes start Monday, August 26th!
- After 1st period, meet out front for the Lone Star bus.
- Know your schedule and what time you need to be in your classes. There are no bells in college to tell you when class starts and end.
- Bring snacks, a sack lunch, buy a sack lunch from the Vistas cafe or bring money to buy food at Lone Star. You will eat in between classes so make sure you have food with you if your schedule doesn't have much time in between.
- Be ON TIME for the afternoon bus. It has to leave on time to get back to Vistas for the PM bus route.
- If you need anything! Make sure you reach out to Ms. Murphy.
