Dear Franklin Families,

Welcome back! We hope you had a wonderful and restful winter break. As we kick off the new year, we’re excited to dive into all the great things January has in store for our students and families.

This month, we’ll come together for special events like Donuts with Grownups, our Winter Farmers Market, and the ever-popular PTO Bingo Night. These are wonderful opportunities to connect as a community and celebrate the unique spirit of Franklin Elementary.

We also have exciting learning opportunities planned in classrooms and some fun surprises along the way. January is a time for fresh starts, setting goals, and building on the progress we’ve made so far this school year.

Franklin McDonald's Night is Tuesday January 14th from 5-7 pm at our Wadsworth McDonald's! Remember if you add a pie or two or three... one whole dollar will be donated to Franklin for each pie sold! Our 4th grade student council members will be serving meals! Just show McDonald's the flyer below!

Our winter Farmers Market is quickly approaching and we need your help to make it a success! We are looking for donations of fresh fruits and vegetables so that our students can try a variety of new foods. Our students love this event every year and we can't keep it going without you! We’re dedicated to enhancing the educational experience for every student at Franklin Elementary. From supporting STEM initiatives to organizing events, we work hand-in-hand with parents and staff to make a difference.

Book Fair and Special Person Lunches: February 24-27

Join us for a circus-themed Book Fair during Special Person Lunches! Invite a special person to lunch then shop for exciting books for all ages and support our staff by purchasing books from their wish lists for their classrooms. Volunteer to help here.

Backpack Connection:

This is a weekly program in which we send extra food home with 14 students. If you can help donate please visit our Amazon Wishlist or drop off food items to the main office. All items purchased on the Amazon Wishlist are shipped directly to the PTO so we can pack the weekly bags.

• Tier 1 Volunteer: No unsupervised interaction with students. No board approval or background check required.

• Tier 2 Volunteer: Unsupervised interaction with students. Board Approval and Background Check (BCI & and FBI) required. Please contact Ms. Keith for more information.
