Brickies from the Start Playroom

The Brickies from the Start Playroom is where School City of Hobart families come together to laugh, grow, play and connect with one another! School City of Hobart Families with children prenatal to five are welcome to join other families in the playroom to enjoy imaginative and developmental play and experiences together. The playroom is open on Mondays at 1:00- 2:00 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:30-10:30 a.m. The playroom is free but families must live within the School City of Hobart's district and registration is required. We can't wait to meet you!

From infancy on, play is an important part of a child’s life. For babies and toddlers, simple, playful interactions with adults help develop sturdy brain architecture, the foundations of lifelong health, and the building blocks of resilience. Through games and playful activities, children can practice and strengthen important executive function skills that will help them throughout their lives, including learning to focus their attention, strengthening their working memory, and developing basic self-control.
