Happy Monday, CSA Fodrea Family,

We MISS you and hope that you are all doing well!

This is our last official week of e-learning. Normal e-learning will take place Tuesday and Wednesday! We will wrap up our year on Thursday with a Virtual Field Day! Please have students dress in squad colors. Ms. Garris is going to keep track of all of the squads represented. The squad with the MOST participation in field day will start next school year with our SPIRIT STICK!!!!!!!! This is going to be a lot of fun! See below for detailed information.

Yearbooks: Thank you to all who have purchased a yearbook. It looks like yearbook delivery will not be until after our item pick-up and drop off times. Therefore, if you purchased a yearbook, we will be in touch with you when those come in to share pick-up arrangements.

End of Year Pick-Up/Drop-Off: Please see the information below on how you can pick up your child's belongings that are at CSA Fodrea and how to turn in items that you have at home (Hardback textbooks and library books). If you are a family of a 6th grader, please make sure that you read the special information about their pick-up/drop-off.

On Thursday, May 21, we will have a Virtual Field Day!

Ms. Garris is organizing a Virtual Field Day for our students! She will have activities and games for students to do at home! She will post these activities on the P.E. with Ms. Garris Facebook page and on itslearning.

Please plan to have your student dress in his/her squad colors! We will have a squad competition. The squad with the MOST PARTICIPATION in virtual field day will get to start the 2020 school year with the SPIRIT STICK!!!!!!!!! All you need to do to earn points for your squad is to dress in your squad colors and share a photo or video. We are looking forward to continuing our end-of-the year celebration even through e-Learning. A huge thank you to Ms. Garris for organizing this.

**This information is for our students in Kindergarten-5th grade**

We will have our Pick-Up and Drop-Off on Tuesday, May 26, and Wednesday, May 27, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. We will use the car rider line for this process.

When you arrive at CSA Fodrea, please pull through the car line.

For this, we NEED your help!

• Stay in your vehicle; when you arrive, a staff member will be out to collect textbooks and library books from you and give you your child's belongings.
• Please have your passenger side window rolled down for a quick pick-up/drop-off

What do you need to bring:

• All hardback textbooks (students can keep their softback workbooks). Please put student FIRST & LAST name inside the front cover of textbooks
• ALL CSA FODREA LIBRARY BOOKS.

We are not collecting Chromebooks, chargers, or hot spots.

If you are unable to come during these times, we will put your child's items in their 2020-21 classroom.

On Thursday, May 28, we will have a special 6th grade pick-up/drop-off from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

For this, we are requesting that ONLY your 6th grader get out of the vehicle. There will be a photo opportunity in front of the school and one with the bell in our courtyard. Our staff will take their pictures and share them with you.

6th graders should be prepared to return all textbooks (hardback) and library books.

We will have their personal items ready for them to pick-up and a special 6th grade gift for them!

We are not collecting Chromebooks cases, or chargers.

The Columbus East Food Pantry is distributing food to BCSC students and their immediate family using a drive up/pickup/no contact distribution method. Pickup point will be at door 31 in the west parking lot behind the school (near the tennis courts). At each distribution, there will be a collection of pre-bagged food for each family, limit one per family.

BCSC Meal Sites begin Monday, March 23. Check out this video to find out where (16 total locations) and when (11am-1pm) at Clifty Creek Elementary School, L.C. Schmitt Elementary, L Frances Smith Elementary , and Taylorsville Elementary School

From 12-1pm, BCSC buses will bring food to these locations within the county:

-Columbus East High School Parking Lot
-Elizabethtown Library Parking Lot

Meals are free for children and students up to the age of 18. Adults can purchase meals for $3.50 (cash only).
