Important Dates
- Aug 1 - Many College Application windows open
- OPEN NOW!!!!! - Seniors can start applying for FAFSA/TAFSA/ or Opt Out Form in English or Spanish. (Seniors must fill out one of the three in order to graduate).FAFSA Checklist: English and Spanish
- Dec 3 - FAFSA Night - (5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. in the LEE library) Representatives from the Alamo Colleges will be on campus to talk about FAFSA and to answer any questions you might have about FAFSA/TAFSA. The presentation will be recorded and posted here a few days later in case you can't make it in person. Please look below in the FAFSA/TASFA Resources section for more information. Video Link
- Dec 12/13 - (Seniors) Mrs. Tapia from the Alamo Colleges will be on campus next Thursday and Friday Dec. 12/13 to help with FSA ID's/ApplyTexas and ACES login items. She will be in the College/Career Center on those days. Please come by to see her.
- Dec 17 - Senior parent night - We will be talking about FAFSA and answering any questions you may have.(6:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m.) in the PERC. Park in the large parking lot and come in through the gates on the side of the school.
- Jan 14 - Yale University will be in the MPR (Library) from 12:30-1:15
- Jan 28 - Savannah College of Art and Design will be in the cafeteria during all lunches
- Feb 20 - ASVAB test for any 10th, 11th, or 12th graders that sign up. It will be in the MPR (library). Be there by 8:45 am. Sign up: Link
- March 5 - SAT School Day for all 11th graders. No sign up is needed.
Need help creating a CollegBoard account? No worries, follow these simple steps.(DIRECTIONS) Please note: DO NOT USE A NEISD STUDENT EMAIL FOR ACCOUNT CREATION! All students at LEE/ISA will need a CollegeBoard account. It is required for PSAT/SAT/AP Exam and Classes.
AP Information and Updates
- Register for AP exams: October 11th - November 12th : College Board also assess a $40 extra late order fee (per exam), if ordered after November 12th, as well as a $40 unused/canceled exam fee (per exam).
- Parent/Student AP information
- Students may submit payment for AP exams using the AP Exam Payment app in Student Skyward, or pay with cash only in person in the LEE counseling office.
- The fees of $40/exam for Non-Free/Reduced and $20/exam for Free/Reduced will be collected October 11- November 12, 2024 (fall and yearlong courses), and February 4 – March 4, 2025 (spring only courses). Only exams paid for during these payment windows will be ordered for administration in May 2025.
- Students can register online ( Step-by-Step Flowchart) or in person in the counseling office. Come by the counseling office before school or during lunches to pay. The cost is $40 or $20 if the student qualifies for free or reduced lunch. That cost is per exam.
- Students must register for their AP class in CollegeBoard. Each teacher provides their class period's AP Classroom join code differently. Please ask your AP teacher for the code if it has not be discussed after the first 3 weeks of school.
AP Facts
- The rigor in an AP course is similar to a college level course.
- Most AP exams are Digital.
- AP exams are 100% optional and have no bearing on a student's grade in the AP course.
- Students will decide to take and pay for their AP exam in October/early November but don't test until May.
- AP exams cost $40 or $20 if a student is on the Free and Reduced lunch list.
- A student is welcome to challenge any AP exam, even if they are not taking the course.
- Colleges usually award college credit for an exam score of 3, 4, or 5
SAT Test Info

- 11th Grade students (All 11th graders will take the test, no sign-up is needed)

PSAT Test Info

- 9th-11th Graders ( 9th graders will take PSAT 8/9, 10th and 11th will take the (PSAT/NMSQT)
Facts:
- The PSAT is 100% digital.
- Students will be provided a Chromebook on test day.
- Prep resources are located below.
- This is just practice, Colleges do not see your PSAT score.
- Juniors have the potential to be National Merit Scholars if they score high enough.

Military Information
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is a heavily researched and well-respected aptitude test developed by the Department of Defense. It measures a young adult’s strengths and potential for success in military training. In addition to a military entrance exam, the ASVAB can be used as a tool to help students explore career options. The ASVAB is open to any 10th, 11th , or 12th grader.

About Me
My name is Paul Goodwin and I will be the new CCMRS at LEE/ISA high schools. I am very excited to be here and to work with as many students as possible. I have been a teacher in NEISD for 22 years, and spent the previous two years as a teacher here at LEE. If you ever need anything, please email me, and I will do my best to help.
