Greetings Pope Family! We have been doing so any great things here at Pope! We appreciated our food service team in the cafeteria, our transportation staff who drive us safely on our school buses, celebrated Red Ribbon Week, and had a great time at Boo Bash! We also elected our Student Council officers, who collected canned goods for families. We even got to exercise our rights to vote for our Student Council officers. Our academics have been some of the best in CFISD. Check out our new furry friends that have been hatching in first grade! We have baby chicks! The chicks are staying nice and warm in our incubators. VETERANS’ DAY CELEBRATION

We will be honoring our Veterans at 9:00 AM on Friday, November 9 on the hardtop behind the cafeteria. We invite our Pope Family members who are veterans to join us for this special event. Parents wishing to view our ceremony, may do so, but must remain behind the cones. Due to safety concerns, parents may not interact with their child or other children during this event. There will be a short, invitation only, reception in the Cafeteria for the veterans and their families following the program.

Please understand that this is an event to honor our Veterans. Entry to the cafeteria is limited to children of Veterans and their families (with RSVP).

***In the event of inclement weather we may have to move the ceremony inside and limit the number of visitors. We will make the weather decision by 8:00AM on November 9.

Students who would like to honor their veteran may bring a poster to hang in the main hallway. Please label your poster with your name and home room teacher. Please turn in your poster to the front office by November 5th

in order that it may be displayed.
