News From Crown Point Community School Corporation

We continue to put student safety first! Over the last few months, each CPCSC building installed CrisisAlert by Centegix. CrisisAlert enables all teachers and staff to request help with a simple press of a button on a wearable badge. The location accuracy and 100% full campus coverage means help will arrive quickly when needed. CPCSC staff were introduced to the new system during our e-Learning Day.
CrisisAlert can also activate an emergency lockdown, which triggers audio and visual notifications. Those notifications are activated in every room and hallway of the school, and instructional messages are displayed on computers connected to the network. The intercom plays a message with instructions corresponding to the alert type. Our students and staff will practice using this new system a few times each year, so everyone knows what to do when an alert is activated.
For more information, please see the video below and the Centegix website. Our district safety page is also a great resource for understanding CPCSC's continued commitment to safety.
As always, never hesitate to reach out if you have questions regarding school safety and our prevention, preparation, and response strategies.
