From Mr. Norton and Mrs. Holmes
As we approach the final week of school before winter break, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible accomplishments and the strong sense of community we’ve seen at Crestwood this season. This time of year is always filled with excitement, and we are so proud of our students for their hard work, resilience, and dedication as they wrap up this half of the year.
Next week, we have a wonderful mix of learning, fun activities, and opportunities to celebrate the season together. It’s a time to enjoy the festive spirit while continuing to grow as a community.
Looking ahead, we are thrilled about the exciting renovations coming to Crestwood! It’s hard to contain our enthusiasm for the brand-new gym, the updated features in our classrooms, and the creation of a new intervention hub in the space of our old gym. Once completed, these updates will provide our students with more opportunities to thrive, learn, and connect in an environment that truly supports their success.
As we head into the break, we encourage everyone to take this time to recharge, connect with loved ones, and enjoy the holiday season. Whether you’re staying close to home or traveling, we hope your break is restful, joyful, and filled with moments to treasure.
Thank you for your continued support of Crestwood and for being part of this wonderful community. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back in the new year, ready to learn, grow, and make the most of all the exciting changes ahead!
Warm wishes for a safe and happy holiday season,
Kit, Jillian & the Staff of Crestwood

Standards-Based Learning Survey: Parents Grades 2-7
The 8th-12th Grade Standards-Based Learning Task Force, comprised of teachers, parents, students, and administrators, is exploring how standards-based learning could be implemented beyond 7th grade. This task force is studying high school grading models, reviewing current practices at Lindbergh High School, and gathering insights from district families whose students are currently using standards-based learning.
We are asking parents of students in grades 2-7 to complete this short survey. Your feedback is essential, and the information we collect will help the task force make an informed recommendation about the future of grading practices in grades 8-12. At this time, a timeline for implementation of any recommendations has not been established.
Please take a moment to complete the survey before Jan. 7, and help us better understand your experiences and perspectives. Thank you.
Lindbergh Speaker Series: “Ready, Set, Kindergarten!” 6 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 14

Lindbergh Lights the Way Annual Giving Tree Program
The Giving Tree program brings joy to children and families in need by providing toys, gifts, and essentials during the holiday season. Each year, with the support of our generous community, we brighten the lives of 60-65 families. By partnering with us, you can make a direct and meaningful impact—turning wishes into reality and creating cherished memories for those who need it most.
Give the Gift of Warmth to Lindbergh Families
This holiday season, your donation to Lindbergh Lights Up The Holidays will help families in need keep their homes warm and safe. We assist with essential utility bills—like electric, gas, and water—for families facing critical hardships. While our drive happens during the holidays, your support provides relief all year long.
