Two weeks till Thanksgiving Break! Then only three more weeks till Winter Break! Where is our time going! Semester exams for our 8th grade students will be the last week of school in December and our CBA's will happen throughout the month of December.
DISD Parent Cafe is tomorrow night at MPB from 6:30-7:30. This parent cafe is for our families in the district with a need for holiday assistance in filling out applications and community resources will be at the MPB to assist in way to help DISD families.

Report Cards are now posted in Skyward for parents to view. When in Skyward family access, under the portfolio tab is where you will be able to locate your child's report card..
Planners - If you think your student would benefit from school planner for classes, we have extra planners if a student would like one. They are $5, please see front office for one.
Greenhand FFA teams will compete in our District Contest on Monday, November 11th in Jacksboro.
Reminder all gates at the MMS Field will be locked from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m. Gates will be opened up at 6:00pm. District office sent out a reminder about safety on our campus through social media. Thank you for understanding that we are keeping our students and staff safe while on campus.
Students - Please be bringing appropriate supplies to class, example - pencils to math class.
Students - No PDA in the hallways & be appropriate when in halls.
Students - When you leave class for the restroom use the nearest restroom and don't be gone for more than 10 mins. If gone for more than 10 minutes, could result in disciplinary consequences if you are not found in the restroom. The same could apply if you get an item you left in a previous class and are gone for more than 10 minutes.
Students remember to charge your chrome book. If it is not holding a charge bring your charger with you to school. This will enable you to be prepared and continue to work throughout the school day.
Friendly reminder, when dropping off or picking up your child, please pull up as far as possible to allow as many vehicles off of the streets. This could be a cause of many tardies occurring during first period. Last week, I sent an email on the extremely high number of first period tardies, please be a part of the solution to help get students out of cars and into class as quickly as possible.
If Dropping students off at the MPB after 7:20, please drop off at front loop. We can not guarantee a teacher will be available to open the door at the MPB. Remember students are tardy if not in their seats at 7:30.
Reminder of parent expectations. If you have any questions about something that happens on campus, please call the school at 940-393-7300 and talk with an administrator. We are here to help in any way we can. The reason this expectation was explained in parent meetings is to have open communication between parents and our staff.
