From Ms. O's Desk
Dear Quetzal Families,
As we approach the end of the school year, I want to take a moment to sincerely thank you for your unwavering support and partnership. Your dedication has played a vital role in helping our students grow academically and strengthen their biliteracy skills. Together, we have created a learning environment that fosters curiosity, resilience, and a love for language and learning.
We are especially grateful to our parent volunteers who have generously given their time and energy throughout the year. Your commitment to our school’s mission and vision has made a meaningful difference, and we are truly thankful for all you do. To show our appreciation, we invite all volunteers to join us for a Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast on Wednesday, May 28th at 8:30 AM under the solar panels. We look forward to celebrating you and all the ways you’ve supported our students and staff.
Please also note an important update regarding volunteer badges: You do not need to return your badge at the end of the year. It will automatically be deactivated on the last day of school.
We’re looking forward to a fun and exciting Field Day at Mistral on Tuesday May 27th! To help your child have a safe and enjoyable experience, please make sure they come prepared with the following:
Sunscreen
A hat or visor
Shorts and a sweatshirt (layers are best!)
Comfortable tennis shoes
A water bottle (labeled with their name)
If your child has any medical needs (such as asthma or allergies), please notify their teacher and provide any necessary medication before Field Day. We’re excited to celebrate a day of fun, teamwork, and school spirit.
I also want to invite all parents to a virtual presentation next Tuesday, May 27th at 6pm on "Knowing Your Rights (deportation) via Zoom.
Wishing you a wonderful rest of the week!
