Principal's Message
10/13/2024
Greetings Borchardt Families,
I hope you had a restful and enjoyable fall break—welcome back! School resumes on Monday, October 14. Please make sure your kiddos get a good night sleep and either a healthy breakfast or are here early enough to have breakfast at school.
Update: Our sixth grade students will now exit through the same gate as the 2nd and 4th graders for smoother transitions.
FYI: As we settle into (hopefully) cooler weather, just a quick reminder to please label your child's sweatshirt or jacket with their name to help minimize lost items.
Before the break, we wrapped up with an exciting "Rock Your School" theme day, where students and staff stepped out of their comfort zones, tried new activities, and even dressed the part. It was a fantastic day of fun and learning. Enjoy some of the pictures from that special day below!
Warmly,
Bri Carroll
Principal, Borchardt Elementary

Tech Safety Reminder
At school, our internet is equipped with filters to block inappropriate content and ensure a safe online environment for students. However, these same protections do not extend to home internet use. We encourage you to monitor your child’s use of technology, especially with their Chromebooks, to help keep them safe online.
You can cross-reference kids games, websites and more using the website Common Sense Media.
Spelling Bee
We are excited to announce that Borchardt is having a spelling bee for students grades 4th through 6th. The Spelling Bee is a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their spelling skills and compete in a friendly and encouraging environment. Participants will be tested on their ability to spell a variety of words; the event will include several rounds. The competition aims to foster a love of language and promote academic excellence. The site spelling bees will take place after the fall break. The winner of each school site will go on to the district wide spelling bee on November 8. We encourage you to click on the link below for rules and practice lists.
