Celebrating Excellence: Centennial School District Achieves Historic Academic Growth
We are thrilled to announce a remarkable milestone in Centennial School District's journey of academic excellence. For the first time in over a decade, our district has achieved or exceeded 100% of the Pennsylvania Value-Added Assessment System (PVAAS) growth targets across all measured areas!
This unprecedented achievement represents the dedicated efforts of our entire educational community – our talented educators, hardworking students, supportive families, and committed administrative team. By meeting or surpassing every PVAAS target, we have demonstrated our district's exceptional ability to support the academic growth of ALL students, regardless of their starting points.
The significance of this accomplishment cannot be overstated. Since 2020, our district has been working diligently toward this goal, and now, through strategic planning, innovative practices, and an unwavering commitment to student success, we have reached this important milestone.
This achievement reflects:
- Consistent academic growth across all student groups
- Excellence in teaching and learning strategies
- Strong collaboration between educators, students, and families
- Effective implementation of data-driven instruction
- Our commitment to continuous improvement
As we celebrate this historic achievement, we remain focused on maintaining this momentum and setting even higher goals for the future. This success serves as a foundation for continued growth and excellence in education at Centennial School District.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this significant accomplishment. Together, we are proving that every student can grow and succeed!

A big thank you to our students, staff, and families for making this a memorable day filled with fun, creativity, and community!
Klinger English Language Learners Engage!
This week, our English Language Development students had a fun and engaging experience as they sampled traditional American fall candies, including the much-debated candy corn. The reviews were mixed.
In addition to candy corn, students enjoyed apple cider, which received rave reviews from everyone!
This activity not only allowed students to experience seasonal treats but also provided an excellent opportunity for practicing descriptive adjectives and sensory language. They described the flavors, textures, and aromas of their culinary adventure, enriching their vocabulary and communication skills!
Davis Wit and Wisdom Curriculum in Action!
Thanks to Dr. Garcia, the fourth grade team, and Mr. Schreiber, RN, for adding to our students' experience studying the heart in our 4th grade Wit and Wisdom curriculum. By Nina Fox (Class of 2025) & Briena Zenser (Class of 2025)
If you are looking for something to do next weekend (Nov 8th and 9th), come down to William Tennent and travel back in time. Every year, the WTHS Drama Club puts on a fall play, and this year they will be performing, Back to the 80s! Back to the 80s is a musical that takes audiences on a nostalgic journey through the exciting and unforgettable decade of the 1980s. The story is set in a high school and follows the life of Mary Fitzfry, who narrates her senior year filled with love interests, and the yearning for popularity. The musical is filled with iconic ‘80s music, featuring hits from such artists as Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, and more.
The story takes the audience through all of the traditional activities of senior year, including the prom, friendships and relationships, as well as graduation. Characters like the class nerd, the jock, and the cheerleader bring the era to life, each contributing to the humor and dynamic of the classic high school experience. The musical not only focuses on the music and culture of the ‘80s, but it also touches on universal themes of growing up and finding one’s identity.
This cast will surely put on a rad show that brings energetic and lively nostalgia to the stage. You won't want to miss the vibrant tribute to the time of big hair, neon colors, and memorable music.
The play, under the direction of Mrs. Dina McCaffery and Mrs. Jennifer Hoban, features a cast of 42 students! You won't want to miss this hilarious parody written by local playwright Dean O'Carroll (who may even attend one of the performances)!
