Principal's Message
Hello, Hunley Park Families!
We are excited to welcome you back for another thrilling school year! Thank you for a wonderful start as we began this journey together. It has been a busy yet rewarding time, with our students actively participating in their house teams: Isibindi, Rêveur, Altruismo, and Amistad. They are filled with enthusiasm!
Last month, every student was assessed in reading and math using iReady. These results help us understand your child's current knowledge and identify the skills we need to reinforce to enhance their learning. We believe a solid foundation in these subjects is crucial, and we are committed to ensuring every student is proficient by second grade and beyond. To keep you updated on your child's progress, we will provide detailed information during our Student Conference on September 20. This will be a great opportunity to discuss your child's achievements and goals.
We also invite you to our Open House on September 12 from 5 to 7 PM. This event will allow you to meet our dedicated staff and learn more about our programs.
As we begin this educational journey, I want to stress the importance of our partnership. Your support in ensuring your child comes to school ready to learn is invaluable. Together, we can create the best possible educational experience for our students.
Thank you once again for your commitment and support. We look forward to a fantastic year ahead and can’t wait to see you at our September events!
Warm regards,
Dr. Gethers
