Dragon's Den Community

Mission
The mission of George Bannerman Dealey is to provide an exemplary education that develops and empowers all students to become productive citizens in our global society.
The Measure of Happiness
“Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions.”
― Dalai Lama XIV
We are grateful for every member of our fantastic community. Studies show that montessori children grow up to be happier adults. Montessori students are also reported to have elevated psychological well-being as adults. One contributing factor is that montessori students are able to participate in their own works and worthwhile activities. They also experience greater stability in their social lives as adults. All of these factors further emphasize the importance of our work here at Dealey. Someone's happiness depends on it.
We are happily heading into a new week!

Dealey Garden News-Updates
Parent Garden Volunteers Needed for Each PreK - 5th Grade Classroom -
Parent Gardening Volunteers work with their child's PreK/K or Lower Elementary teacher to determine a mutually convenient time to take students out to the garden each week during school hours. The time commitment for the Parent Gardening Volunteers is typically 60 - 90 minutes per gardening session and the role can be shared between several parents in one classroom. 4th and 5th Grade Students participate in gardening through a weekly Gardening Period during their Specials Time (12:50-1:35PM). Ms. Olobia oversees the class and depends on the assistance of Parent Gardening Volunteers to make gardening a great experience for the students. We are planning to begin gardening with the students the week of September 9. If you are interested in serving as a Parent Gardening Volunteer or learning more about this volunteer role, please contact Andrea Montillo (andreamontillo@gmail.com) or Lilian Webb (lillian6@gmail.com).
