Mission

In an effort to create life-long learners, the staff at Westridge Elementary School, working closely with parents and community, strives to realize each child's fullest potential in the areas of personal, social, intellectual, emotional, and physical development.

Dear Westridge Families,

It was so fun to see all of the amazing Valentine's Day boxes at school today. I am always impressed by the creativity of our students and their families. Well done!

Parent/teacher conferences are next Tuesday and Wednesday. If you have not signed up for a conference time, please do so right away. If you have any issues, please call the office at 402-289-2559. We want to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to visit with their child's classroom teacher to discuss their progress.

Please remember that we will dismiss at 2:06 on both Tuesday and Wednesday due to conferences. EKC and the bus have adjusted their times to accommodate the early dismissal as well. There is be no school on Thursday and Friday. Enjoy the extra long weekend!

2025-26 Kindergarten Registration

Registration for children who will attend kindergarten during the 2025-26 school year (students must be at least 5 years of age by July 31, 2025, to attend Kindergarten), is now open at https://www.elkhornweb.org/parents/new-students/. When you register your child on the District website, we will use the email address in that registration to communicate Kindergarten Round-up information and details.

Attendance Matters

Good attendance is essential for academic success! Students who attend school regularly are more likely to stay on track with their learning, build strong relationships with their peers, and develop important interpersonal skills necessary for future achievement. Don’t forget, every day counts!

Kids Heart Challenge

Way to go Westridge Families! In just one week we have 81 students registered for The Kids Heart Challenge and 13 students have completed Finn's Mission. Besides learning important ways to keep their hearts healthy, students have also learned about Hands Only CPR and what to do in an emergency. Oh and those 13 students who have completed Finn's Mission... they get to crack an egg over Mrs. Burney's head!
