OCTOBER LANCERS OF THE MONTH
Throughout the school year, Livingston High School names “Lancers of the Month."
"Lancers of the Month are students, faculty, and staff who model the qualities and values that define Livingston High School by empowering our community to learn, create, contribute, and grow. Each month, students and staff members are nominated and selected based on their exemplary actions around the building," said Ms. Brittany Gajewski, LHS Dean of Students. Lancers of the Month can reflect any of the pillars of the LPS Portrait of a Graduate, as well as any other admirable traits, such as kindness, civility, or resiliency.
The October 2024 Lancers of the Month included students Anna Krause and Morgan Abramson, and staff members Anthony Fischer and Rob McConnon.
Each honoree received a certificate in recognition of this achievement. Congratulations to all!
Students at MPE recently had an unforgettable experience with The Stuntmasters BMX team, who combined exciting stunts with important lessons on character and safety!
Fifth graders presented information about Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur at Burnet Hill’s monthly community meeting in October.

Hillside recently celebrated Diwali with an assembly where students performed a special dance.
First graders at Riker Hill recently learned all about Election Day. After reading the story “Duck for President!” the students voted on which character from the story should be president - Farmer Brown or Duck. Duck was the winner!

PROCESS FOR ADDRESSING PARENT CONCERNS
Livingston Public Schools strives to respond to concerns and/or questions as quickly and effectively as possible. In a school system, as in any organization, the “chain of command” refers to communication levels of authority in the school district. The philosophy behind the chart in the link below is to refer community members to those people in the organization who can best solve any concerns or questions that may arise, and then direct them to the appropriate people if issues are not able to be effectively addressed at the first level.
COMMUNICATION TOOLS • SUICIDE LIFELINE • MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT
