Volume 5 Issue 33
This week was filled with lots of great stuff. We had a Rotary Scholarship winner, lots of state testing completed, and a great presentation by OCDE on Drug Awareness. In addition, our 3-8 grade students were loving their popsicles, thank you parents. This week, we are finishig off State Testing for our students, as well as Maverick Hangout this Wednesday at the K-8 campus! Super fun.
This week's background features our little buddies celebrating Earth Day with some poetry with their big buddies, a picture from the Drug Prevention Workshop, and congrats to senior Emily S. for her well deserved Scholarship from Rotary Club!
As always, if you have any questions, concerns, or compliments, please reach out to Mr. Fineberg, our principal, at efineberg@tustin.k12.ca.us.

Principal's Message...
I want to do a little bragging here! A huge congratulations to Senior Emily S. who won a big scholarship from the Rotary Club of Santa Ana/Tustin. It was an extremely competitive process this year with multiple applicants with only a limited number of recipients. The application included multiple essays along with an interview component. After all of that, Emily was chosen! We couldn't be more proud of her. As our Seniors begin to hear from their college acceptances, we are so excited to find out all of the wonderful colleges they will be attending. Just to give you an idea of the great schools are students have been accepted to, look at this list of just some of the many schools our seniors were accepted to:
Virginia Tech, IU Bloomington, UConn, SDSU, SJSU, UC Davis, UCLA, UCSD, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, UC Merced, Cal Poly Pomona, University of Denver, Penn State, University of Utah, Cal State Fullerton, Cal State San Marcos, Grand Canyon University, Chico State, Cal Poly Pomona, Cal State Sonoma, Northern Arizona, Boise State, Grand Canyon, University of Oregon, Willamette University, University of Puget Sound, Oregon State University, Washington State, University of Hawaii, Concordia, University of Arizona. Arizona State, University of Colorado Boulder, Loyola Chicago, San Francisco State, Chapman University, Cal State Long Beach.
That's just the early list of schools. We are so proud of our seniors and can't wait to hear all of the great things they accomplish.
As always, if you have any questions, compliments, ideas, and/or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out at (714) 430-2052 ext. 52103 or efineberg@tustin.k12.ca.us. Have a great Spring Break.
We will see you on Tuesday, March 26th for the home stretch.
