Leadership Message
Dear St. Luke Families,
Throughout the next week of school we will be celebrating the significance of Catholic Education. Catholic education provides a unique blend of academic excellence infused with moral values and teachings rooted in the Catholic faith. It offers a holistic approach to learning that not only focuses on intellectual growth but also nurtures the formation of character and integrity.
In today's fast-paced world, our children can be overwhelmed with various influences and distractions that can easily lead them astray from their faith and values. Catholic education serves as an anchor, providing a firm foundation based on the teachings of Jesus Christ.
By choosing Catholic education you are equipping your children with the tools and values they need to navigate the complexities of the world with grace and conviction. St. Luke strives to nurture the whole person, empowering our students to become compassionate leaders and agents of positive change in society.
Next week we will also open our doors to host our Open House! This event is an excellent opportunity for our community to explore firsthand the unique offerings and welcoming community that make our school a special place for students to learn and grow. Please encourage family, friends and neighbors to come in and check out our wonderful school. Our open house is Thursday night from 5:30 - 7:00 pm!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Administrative Change for the 2024-2025 School Year
As we embark on the journey of planning for the upcoming year, we wanted to provide you with some updates regarding administrative changes. It is with mixed emotions that we announce Mr. Gregg and I will be departing from St. Luke to pursue new opportunities at different schools. I will be transitioning to Madonna Catholic School, while Mr. Gregg will be joining St. Mary’s in Vegreville.
Our time at St. Luke has been incredibly fulfilling, and we will always cherish the memories and the sense of community that has brought us immense joy. While change can be challenging, we find comfort in the belief that we are guided by a higher purpose and placed exactly where we are meant to be by God.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your support and collaboration, which has contributed to making St. Luke a truly remarkable place. As we approach the conclusion of the academic year, we are excited about the work still ahead and the many enjoyable activities we have planned. We eagerly anticipate finishing this year with the wonderful people of St. Luke.
I am very pleased to announce that Mme Pamela Gravelle will be the new Principal for St. Luke next year.
Warm regards,
Cathy HInger

New Technology Fee for the 2024-2025 School Year
EICS is proposing a new technology fee for students in Grades K through 12 to help cover the increasing costs of providing technology resources. This new fee will replace the K-3 technology fee of $20.00. The proposed fee will be $30.00 per student and will fund various hardware and software needs, such as Chromebooks, Adobe and Microsoft licenses, career guidance software, accessibility software, specialty math software, library software, and other licenses determined by school administration. However, the fee will not be used for network or technology infrastructure costs or staff devices or software.
If you have any questions about either of these fees, please call the school 780-922-5920.

Give a Pencil Car Wash
A warm hello to all!
It is with great pleasure and excitement that the EICS Transportation office announces a yearly car wash fundraiser.
The 1st Annual Carwash "Give a Pencil Car Wash" will be held on May 28th from 9am-2pm at CLS in the Wash Bay.
All proceeds will be used to purchase school supplies through Staples and supplies will be distributed before the beginning of the 2024-25 school year to ALL EICS schools to support our students.
We very much look forward to seeing any and all families, friends and all supporters of EICS to support this great cause. We believe that students equipped with the tools to learn are necessary and support their learning.
Thank you so much to everyone for your support,
EICS Transportation
