The Weekly Roar
June 4, 2022
We're Almost There!
Summer Break is just around the corner! Teachers and students are busy finishing the school year by completing assessments, packing the classrooms, participating in fun school events, sharing memories, completing report cards, and spending time together before we say our goodbyes.
This year has been very challenging for our community. We've had our ups and downs with re-learning how this whole school-thing works. The pandemic and its pervasive effects created new barriers over and over for us. It is my hope that we are closing this chapter with a great ending, one filled with joy and kindness.
It certainly felt like we are creating this great ending by the looks of our Cultural Celebration on Friday night. This small video shows you how hungry we were for community. Look at our turn out!

Kindergarten Celebration information
We are fast approaching the end of the year, and our Kindergarten Graduation! Please join us Friday, June 10th from 9a-10a in the cafe-torium for our Kinder Graduation Ceremony. Seating is first come, first serve. To make sure there's room for everyone, please use two seats per family, and there is standing room for additional attendees. Once everyone is seated, we can fill in open seats with extra family members.
Afterwards, we'll share refreshments in the Kinder-Garden afterwards before heading out for early dismissal. Our planning committee is requesting donations of baked goods/treats/juice/water/etc from each classroom to share with friends and family after the ceremony. Please sign up HERE if you can help out!
Also see the attached invitation for more information on a playdate in the park/ potluck after graduation!

5th Grade activities volunteers
It's the end of the year! We need tons of volunteers to make these events happen! This is a great time to see what's in store for your future fifth grader, or a great way to give back for your outgoing fifth grader. Please sign up whenever you can help. Feel free to sign up for more than one if you plan on being at the event the whole time. There are a couple times where we need a lot of grunt work, so the more people who show up, the faster it will go. Contact Laura with any questions! Fewmets@gmail.com or sign up at the link below
5. Community Support & Events
