🤩January's Soaring Star Winner!! Hilltop's Sarah Slaton! 🌟
The winner of this month’s Soaring Star Award goes to…..Mrs. Sarah Slaton, 4th Grade Teacher at Hilltop Elementary!!!
A true veteran of Argyle ISD, Mrs. Slaton began teaching at Hilltop 12 years ago and was the district's one and only ELAR 4th grade teacher! She has shown exceptional leadership and resilience, guiding her 4th-grade team this year with grace and professionalism.
Her commitment to communication, relationships, and kindness has kept her team focused on student success. Sarah’s positivity, energy, and dedication embody the excellence of a Soaring Star at Argyle ISD. Congratulations Mrs. Slaton!
Thanks to the generosity of our Eagle Partners, recipients of the district’s Soaring Star monthly staff award receive a $100 gift card as well as a year's supply of Chick-fil-A sandwiches donated by Chick-fil-A Argyle!
School Board Approves 2025-2026 Calendar!
Time to mark your calendars...because we have next year's school calendar for you with all the important dates! The Argyle ISD 2025-2026 School Calendar was approved by the School Board during the Jan. 21, 2025 regular meeting. Be sure to view the calendar for key dates for the next school year.
CLICK HERE to view the 2025-2026 school calendar on the district website. The first day of school will be Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2025 in the third week of the month.
The 2025-2026 calendar was developed by the District Leadership Team, which includes staff members, parents, and community members. Based on feedback after our first fall break in October 2024, the fall break in 2025 has been extended to one full week in October. The only other significant change is the February student holidays/teacher in-service days. Students will be off Monday-Tuesday, Feb. 9-10.
AHS Graduation 2026 at UNT will be set during this summer.
Here are some of the noteworthy dates for next year:
- First Day of School: Tuesday, Aug. 12
- October Student Holidays: Oct. 13-17
- Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 24-28
- Winter Break: Dec. 22-Jan. 5
- Spring Break: March 6-16
- Bad Weather Days: March 6 & April 6
- Last day of school (student early release): May 21
😃 Thank You, School Board!
This month marks School Board Appreciation Month! We celebrated the Board of Trustees during Tuesday's regular meeting. We also featured a video from students, teachers and staff across the district thanking the Trustees for their tireless work and dedication to AISD. The video also included some special messages from the children of the School Board attending AISD schools!
Be sure to watch until the end for some fun with two Argyle South Elementary Pre-K students!
During Monday's meeting, the Board was presented with special custom-made charcuterie boards from AHS 2023 graduate Ryan Mackereth, who has his own wood-working business!

🏅 AHS Junior Liyah Cha...Soaring Higher!!
Congratulations to Argyle High School's Liyah Cha! She placed 5TH at the UIL STATE Congressional Debate event. This was a fierce competition and reaching the finals as a junior is a big accomplishment!
During the Super Finals, she debated inside the State Capitol!
Great job, Liyah!!
📣 Let's Hear It For AHS Cheer!
Congratulations to the Argyle High School Cheerleading Squad!
This year's team did an amazing job at the UIL State Spirit Competition last weekend at the Fort Worth Convention Center, finishing an impressive 11th overall out of 75 teams in Class 5A Division II.
Next up, they’re taking their spirit to NCA Nationals this coming weekend in Dallas. Best of luck, AHS Cheer!

Tuesday night, Argyle ISD held its monthly regular board meeting. The AISD School Board met at 5:00 p.m. for an executive session prior to the open meeting.
The board meeting was filled with very deserving recognitions. First, we recognized our Argyle ISD School Board of Trustees, as January is School Board Appreciation Month in the State of Texas. This year’s theme, Leadership for Tomorrow’s Texas, underscores the profound influence of our 7 elected Trustees—not only on the future of Argyle ISD but also on the broader future of Texas.

🤠 AHS Hat Day Friday!
AHS staff and students get your best hats ready! All of AHS can wear a hat to school on Friday, Jan. 24 with a $1.00 donation which will benefit the AHS PTO.
Donations will be accepted Friday morning at the front and back doors. Senior-In students can turn in their donation to the front office.

The 89th Legislative Session began Jan. 14 in Austin. Without action, Texas public schools will continue to lose great teachers to professions outside of education.
AHS Student: SAT Boot Camp Opportunity
AHS has partnered with MasteryPrep to host an SAT BootCamp, Saturday, March 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Students will learn tips and strategies to help them navigate the new all digital SAT. Students will receive an SAT BootCamp book to work through and review as they prepare for future SAT exams.
Don't miss this opportunity! The cost is $75 and all registration and payment is due by midnight, Thursday, March 6. Please sign up using the Google Form, and payment can be made through RevTrak or by check in the front office. Please complete both the Google.

Where Am I Zoned for High School & Middle School?
The Argyle ISD School Board approved the Middle School & High School Zoning at the December regular School Board meeting. The approved zoning recommendation was amended to include the Bonnie Brae Rd. & the Vintage Blvd. areas (both located in the far northern part of the district).
These areas will now be part of the US 377 East zone for both middle and high schools. The new zoning changes will begin for middle schools in the fall of 2026. For high schools, the changes will start a year later, in the fall of 2027. Argyle ISD will post a finalized zoning map on the district website in the coming days. Majestics' Daddy Daughter Dance Coming Saturday!
The Argyle High School Majestics drill team is hosting the Daddy Daughter Dance on Saturday, Jan. 25. The event will be held in the AHS cafeteria from 3-5 p.m. The cost is $50 per daddy/daughter and $15 for each additional daughter.

Argyle Soccer Hosting Youth Night Friday!
The Lady Eagle soccer team is hosting Future Eagles Night on Friday at Eagle Stadium. All AYSA and youth soccer players are invited to attend the Lady Eagles district opener vs. Richland. The JV game starts at 5 p.m. and the varsity plays at 6:30 p.m.
The team will host an autograph session between games! Free admission for all youth players wearing their jersey!
Lady Eagles Hosting AYSA/Middle School Night - Jan. 31!
Join us at 4:30-4:45 p.m. for autographs with the Lady Eagles! Tipoff is set for 5:45 p.m.
Wrestling Season Producing Big Highlights!
Wrestling season at Argyle High School is in full swing and producing some great results. This week the Lady Eagles picked up victories against Colleyville Heritage (54-12) and Highland Park (66-6). The Eagles defeated Colleyville Heritage (51-29) and fell to Highland Park (49-26).

Last weekend, the Lady Eagles finished 4th at the Coyote Classic! Lily Doyle and Caylee Owen were champions and Faith Gatlin was runner up!
Argyle Middle School Archery Takes 1st; West Elementary 2nd!
Argyle Archery Middle School Team took home 1st place and Argyle West Elementary took home 2nd place at the Texas Two-Step tournament in Arlington on Jan. 18.
