July 8th is also the deadline for fashion show narratives, dog and cat vaccination records, and performing arts entries.

FAIRWIRE entry system for THAYER County is open. By Entering in the Fairwire System this will tell us what you are bring to the Thayer County Fair

• Entries are due on July 19!
• The Thayer County 4-H Council pay the entry fee accessed with each entry.
• Please be good stewards and enter items that will realistically be done by the fair. For example: If you did not plant tomatoes in your garden then you shouldn't enter them saying you are bring them.
• No late entries will be accepted, and everything must be entered during this time.
• We have mailed out an instruction sheet, and a paper page to help organize your projects and make them easier to enter.
• The paper entry form will not be accepted it is simply to hopefully make the fairwire entry processes easier.
• Don't forget any contests, and their paperwork will be due at this time also.
• The extra paperwork can be found on our COUNTY WEBSITE
  
• Please do not wait until the very last minute, as the site will likely experience it's peak as deadline approaches.

Information regarding ins and outs of county fair can be found on the Special Edition Thayer County Fair Newsletter that will sent out on July 8th at noon.

• Food Stand
• Pie Sign Up
• Cake Auction
• Bucket Calf Interviews
• Static Check-in
• Number of Animals per family for cages, pens, & stalls
• Fairbook Changes

Some Sign Ups, are limited to first come first serve. So to be totally fair to all, we are announcing the date they will open ahead of schedule. Mark your calendars, and sign up accordingly.

If you plan on exhibiting a bucket calf or 2nd year Bucket Calf at the Nuckolls County Fair please sign up for an interview time using this link. This is required as part of the cumulative overall score for the bucket calf project along with the record book and live placing.

Interviews will be held Tuesday, July 30th from 1-3pm in the Commercial Building.

4-H families here are the scheduled work times for each club for this year's Nuckolls County 4-H Pork BBQ, which will be held on Friday, August 2nd. If you are in more than one club please communicate with your leaders to ensure there are enough workers for each shift as you only need to work one.

Fair Clean-Up will be held Thursday, July 25th beginning at 6pm!
