News you can use.....
- 75% rule.... some questions have been asked about the 75% completion rule for our 1/2 day students. Here's the answers..... beginning Monday if a student has not complete either of their courses they will be required to attend full day.
They will go to their regularly scheduled lab and then spend the remainder of the day with Robert in 112. Once they have met the 75% expectation they will be allowed to move back to the 1/2 schedule. They will continue to work on only the 2 courses they are scheduled in. If you have time to see them in 112, you may but you are not required to do so.
If it is an afternoon student, they will be required to begin school school at 8:15 but will be allowed to leave at 3:20.
We will repeat the process every 3 weeks. This is why we need you to leave all their classes on the progress tracker for a 6 week period so that we can see history. - School starts at 8:15 if anyone is still in doubt.
Tardy policy.... 1/2 students who incur 3 tardies will be required to stay the entire day for a predetermined amount of time. At this point we are thinking 15 school days. We will keep you up to date on this policy.
If sending students from the Academy building to the nurse, they must come through the counseling office to pick up a badge to enter the PAC building.
Please remember that students should not be charging their phones at school at any point during the day, including advisory nor should they be streaming music.
Advisory.... beginning Monday we will follow these processes..... no one will be released to go to the gym before 2:55 Monday - Thursday. Monday - teachers review progress tracker, Tuesday - study hall until 2:55, Wednesday SEL, Thursday - circle, Friday - free day in the gym. Let me know if you have any questions.
- Next week is College Week.... you may wear jeans and a college t-shirt Sept 10th - 14th.
