Reardan High School Weekly Reminders
Thank you to our parents and students for a wonderful start to the school year! Here are a few important reminders as we move forward:
- Tardy Policy: If you are tardy to class, you will be assigned lunch detention the following day.
- Absences: All absences require a note or a phone call from a parent or guardian.
- Monday Start Time: A reminder that school starts at 9:00 AM every Monday.
We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to a great year ahead!
Middle School Update
Middle School had a fantastic first week of school! Students quickly figured out how to get to their classrooms, where their lockers were, and received their Chromebooks. This year we are reinstituting our Chromebook usage/insurance fee of $30 which covers loss or damage to Chromebooks. Students who receive free or reduced lunch will have this fee waived. Please visit our website: reardan.net for more information regarding Chromebook Usage Fees and to find the application for free/reduced lunch. Students should have brought home our MS Student Handbook earlier this week. Please be sure to go over the MS student handbook with your child, then sign and return the form to either their first period teacher or the HS office. This year students will check in and out of school through the HS office with Mrs. Cassellberry. Also, please call the 24 hour attendance line at 509.381.1312 to excuse your child’s absence.
We are working on balancing numbers in classes and will be making some schedule changes and adjustments by Monday, September 9th. If you have any questions or would like to discuss your child’s schedule or MS experience so far, please don’t hesitate to reach out to MS Principal Debi Newsum: dnewsum@reardansd.net.
Finally, we are excited to implement our newly adopted math curriculum. Students will receive consumable workbooks in three separate volumes this year. The books are supplied at no cost to students, however, a replacement fee will be charged for lost workbooks. Check in with your child to see what’s new in math!
Elementary School Update
Important paperwork will be coming home with your children the first couple weeks of school. Please look in your child's backpack on a regular basis.
School pictures will be on Wednesday, September 18th. Order packets will be coming home soon. You can order photos through the order envelopes or online.
