Beware: Fraudulent PTO Emails
We have been informed that there are scammers pretending to be the Prairie PTO, asking for gift cards to be sent to random people. The scammers have created fake email accounts that appear to be legitimate based on the sender’s name, but when you look at the source email, it does not match the actual accounts. Some individuals have received messages from this email: pto.president1010@gmail.com. THIS IS NOT A LEGITIMATE PRAIRIE PTO EMAIL ACCOUNT.
Actual Prairie PTO accounts include:
For the record, when the PTO requests donations they will direct you to their official Barrington 220 Revtrak Account OR they request that gift cards and donated items be dropped off at the Prairie front office.
We’re also seeing imposter Facebook and Instagram accounts for other PTOs in the district. Use the following links to keep up with the Prairie PTO on Facebook and Instagram.

Sign up for Snowflake by October 31st
Snowflake at Prairie takes place on November 20th after school. Snowflake is a program that enforces positive decision making and healthy behaviors. Students participate in large group sessions led by a guest speaker and are then followed by small group sessions. Each small group consists of 10-12 students, 3 high school student leaders, and an adult leader. Check out the Snowflake website for more information.
Registration can be completed through Revtrak and will close on October 31st - do not miss your opportunity.
Participate in Early Voting this Month!
During the first half of 2024, more than 2,500 community members collaborated on a plan to continue to improve our aging school buildings. The final $64M community-driven plan will go to you, the voter, for approval as a referendum question on the Nov. 5 ballot. If successful, the referendum will:
- Increase Safety & Security throughout Barrington 220
- Build a New Community Auditorium at Barrington High School
- Enhance STEAM and Instructional Spaces for Students
Traditional early voting at polling locations in the Barrington area will open on October 21. Click the links below to find early voting information for the county you reside in:
