A Message from our Principal
This week, students learned that they met ALL OF OUR FUN RUN GOALS! We are so proud of our community and their fundraising efforts to support our staff and students through grants, school projects and activities all year long.
Below is a list of what they earned, as a result of meeting targets:
10K - Free Seating at Lunch (this will happen prior to winter break)
20K - Minute to Win It Assembly (sometime in winter)
30K - Musa comes for PE! (Jan or Feb)
40K - HV Coffee Shop, Italian Sodas (Spring)
50K - Teacher Shuffle (March)
60K - An added Inflatable at Field Day (June)
We also had 30 students win gift cards to Dutch Bros and other local businesses as part of our raffle drawing (for every $100 earned, student names were entered into the raffle).
A HUGE thank you to our PAC, students and families for all of their efforts in making our Fun Run another big success!
Fall Celebrations
As we have in years past, classrooms will be doing Fall parties/activities during the day on 10/31. Students will be allowed to wear costumes at school, however the times for that will vary depending on class. Your child’s teacher will share those details as the date gets closer. Please know that all costumes need to be school appropriate (no violence, fake blood, face masks, weapons or full face paint) and ideally something your child can take on and off independently. Each class will run their own celebration and those may look different class to class and grade to grade. Please know that wearing a costume is completely optional. As always, students who do not wish to participate in the events will be welcomed in the STEM classroom!
For full costumes, we have an exciting Trunk or Treat event right here in the parking lot at Hawks View on 10/30 from 5-7pm! Please join families in a fun evening of trunk-or-treating among our school community! If you’re interested in having a parking spot, please sign up using the link under PAC info below.
Picture Retake Day ! November 5, 2024
Hawks View Picture retake day is Tuesday, November 5th. If your student was absent on picture day, or you are new to the school, now is your chance to purchase a picture packet.
If you need retakes, be sure to bring your original picture packet back to the photographer on retake day.
For online ordering information, please follow the link below. Picture envelopes are available in the office, if needed.
Nutrition Services Highlights Diwali
Diwali, the Festival of Lights, begins on Thursday, October 31st. This week, Nutrition Services partnered with the local, family-owned business Happy Curry Foods to create a delicious Mango Curry Chicken for our students to sample. Our students enjoyed the opportunity to try something new while also learning about Diwali from their friends who celebrate it.
To all of our families celebrating this year, Shub Diwali!
PAC Corner News & Notes
