Participants will be able to take away new strategies for engaging all learners in the classroom. Active and passive participation strategies will be taught and a chance to create classroom materials will be given. Participants will be taught participation strategies through the lens of an actual student. Several strategies will be shared and then participants will have time to assess which strategies best work for their classroom and create appropriate materials for immediate use.

Scaffolding Techniques Across the Curriculum provides educators with a framework for supporting students' learning and understanding across various subjects. This session emphasizes the importance of scaffolding as a means to bridge gaps in knowledge and skills, enabling students to progress towards independence. Educators will learn specific scaffolding strategies, such as using visual aids, modeling, and providing step-by-step instructions, which can be applied to different content areas. The course aims to equip teachers with the tools to make challenging content more accessible, promoting student confidence and success in all academic disciplines. This is an ENL focused workshop.

Participants will gain a basic understanding of how to use the Cricut craft machine the Cricut Craft System for classroom use. Audience members will make something for their classroom using the Cricut craft machine and gain an understanding of how they can use the EERC cricut machine to organize their classroom and create materials.
Empowered Teaching with Canva

This session encourages participants to attend with their full team, including ENL educators, General Education teachers, Special Education teachers, and Program Aides. Together, you will explore strategies to enhance teamwork, accountability, and communication. During this workshop, you will: Develop a Collaboration Plan: Design a weekly schedule that prioritizes dedicated time for team collaboration. Create a Team Contract: Establish a shared agreement outlining responsibilities, ensuring that all students are viewed as "our students." Set Personal Boundaries: Identify and respect individual boundaries to maintain a healthy and productive working environment. By the end of this session, your team will leave with practical tools and a united vision for working together effectively to support every student. This workshop is perfect for educators committed to fostering an inclusive and collaborative school culture.
