Bridport Community Newletter

December 8, 2024
Week 14
Hello Bridport Families!
What a beautiful & snowy weekend it was in Addison County! I hope folks had a chance to get outside and enjoy it. This time of year is so special, and I'm excited to experience Bridport School traditions such as gifts for giving, and the holiday meal in the next two weeks.
There are many ways we can celebrate this time of year together—both in our school and in our broader community. The holidays are a time for joy, reflection, and connection, and at Bridport School, we are committed to fostering a warm, inclusive environment where every student feels valued and supported.
This season provides a wonderful opportunity to celebrate not only our diverse traditions but also the strength of the community we are building together. In the coming weeks, students and staff will be engaging in various activities that highlight the spirit of giving, kindness, and collaboration. From holiday arts and crafts to community service projects, we are reinforcing the importance of compassion and understanding as we work together to make a positive impact.
We look forward to seeing many of you at our Holiday lunch on Wednesday!
Best,
Jenny
Things to Know at BCS
Dress for the Weather
Please make sure your child has all outdoor gear everyday (snowpants, coat, boots, hat, gloves). It is also a good idea to pack extra socks in backpacks as our feet get wet easily this time of year!
Intervention Update
As many folks know, Ms. Angela has been out on medical leave. Barb Sack has been filling in for her, working with students and supporting classrooms. We are looking forward to welcoming back Ms. Angela in February!
Arrival and Dismissal
Please take care during these busy times of the day to ensure safety of students at they are getting out of cars, getting onto busses etc. If you are dropping off or picking up- stay in line until it is your turn to pull up.
We appreciate your care and attention to keep BCS safe!
New Preschool Playground!
If you've been at BCS recently you have seen our fancy, new fenced in playground for our preschool friends! Ms. Heather is working to fill it with things to spark creativity, imagination and joy.
We are asking community members who visit our playground afterschool or on weekends to please use our big playground and keep the fenced in space just for PK.
Thank you!
