It's a Great Day in Pre-K!

Our first full week of November is behind us and we are looking ahead to Thanksgiving in a few weeks. Before we get ahead of ourselves, we will be celebrating Veteran's Day on Monday. Our kiddos will be singing songs and reading a poem for everyone to see. We will record our songs and post them on our facebook page later in the day.

On Thursday, Nov. 21st, KBA will be hosting a Family Literacy Night in conjunction with Parent University as part of the Project Prevent grant for our district. We will have food, activities and lots of info for families. Our evening will run from 5:30-7:00 in the cafeteria.

With all of the events, rain and potential tornado activity we've had a crazy couple of weeks. Our kiddos did an amazing job staying calm and sheltering in place when the tornado sirens began to play. We need to remind everyone that we are not allowed to release students to families once an alarm has been made and we begin our shelter in place procedures. Prior to an alarm, families my pick up students but as soon as the shelter in place order is given, we will not be allowed to release students.

Don't forget to keep your Beyond the Bell account current. Payment is due at the beginning of the week. If you fall behind on payments, your child will not be able to stay. Anyone interested in staying can complete this form, Beyond the Bell Form and send the $25 payment with their student. BTB is for both Prek and 3yr olds. Any student staying for BTB must be potty trained.

Car line starts at 7:30am. Please do not let your children walk up to the building alone. If you choose to not use the car line, please walk your child to the door.
