This week, we have several exciting events happening at AHS! Our cheerleaders will compete in the AHSAA Super Regionals, our Flag Football team will play in the playoffs and Sherlyn Rivera will compete in State Cross Country. Go Bears!!

On Friday, Nov. 8, our football team will play Enterprise in the 1st Round of the State playoffs @ Home @ 7:00 p.m. This week's Dress-up Theme is "Switch up the Wildcats" (Teachers dress like students/Students dress like Teachers.) We need a huge student section and support from the Black Bear community on Friday Night!! Go BEARS!!

• The Black Bears will play @ Home vs. Enterprise @ 7:00 p.m. on Nov. 8 in the 1st Round of the AHSAA football playoffs.
• Tickets are $12.00 and will be sold ONLY on Gofan.co -- Tickets will NOT be on S2Pass.
• Only AHSAA-approved passes will be accepted.

• Our Flag Football team will play in the State Playoffs on Tuesday, Nov. 5 @ Hueytown High School @ 6:00 p.m.
• Good luck Bears! Take State!!

• Congratulations to Sherlyn Rivera for qualifying for the State Cross Country Meet. She is the 1st Black Bear to qualify for the state tournament since 2019.
• Sherlyn will race at the State Meet on Saturday, Nov. 9 in Oakville.
• Good luck!! Go Bears!

• Our cheerleaders will compete in the AHSAA Regionals on Monday, Nov. 4 @ 6:37 p.m. @ the Crossplex in Birmingham. Good Luck Bears!

• If you received an invitation to join the National Honor Society, your fees are due by November 8th.

• No late payments will be accepted as the induction ceremony is on November 14th at 6 p.m.

• Austin High INDOOR Track & Field tryouts will be held on Monday, November 4th, 2024 for Juniors and Seniors.

• Wednesday, November 6th for Freshman and Sophomores.

• Please upload a current physical to Dragonfly or you will not be allowed to participate.

• All participants must fill out the Google form to sign up for tryouts.

• Congratulations to Ashley Brito for winning the Inaugural Quinceanera Catrina Pageant for the Day of the Dead Festival in Downtown Decatur!
