2025 is upon us. We are 1/4 of the way into the 21st century. It dawned on me as I was writing this that all of you youngsters were born in the 21st century!

For those of us who grew up in the 1980s and 1990s, a common theme that was always in front of us was "preparing for the 21st century." Everyone believed that the new century would bring tremendous change to how we live, and it certainly has! (Even though I still don't have my flying car....).

As we enter the second quarter of the 21st century, I want to challenge you to prepare...but not for all of the changes that will happen around you. I want you to prepare for what God is going to do in you and through you.

Isaiah 43:18-19 tells us:

“Do not remember the former things,
Nor consider the things of old.
Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert."

No matter what you faced in 2024, or in your life thus far, God wants to do a new thing in your life, and it is all for your good and for His glory!

As you make those goals and resolutions for 2025, I encourage you to make just one:

Live your life as a life in total worship and surrender to God!

We are making a transition with our BRANCHEZ Ministry at Lynn Garden Baptist in 2025! We will begin referring to BRANCHEZ as a "Young Adult Ministry" rather than a "College Age Ministry" to be more inclusive of folks who have graduated from high school up through their twenties!

Praying for God to grow this ministry in 2025!

Cost: $50 (Due any time before we leave for the trip.)

You must have a 2025 policy and medical form on file to go! PLEASE RETURN THESE ASAP!

Trip Details:

• We will leave on Friday, January 17th after school and head down to the cabin (same one as last year).
• We will have a fellowship outing in Pigeon Forge on Saturday before the first session of STS on Saturday evening. BRING WARM CLOTHING AS WE WILL BE OUTDOORS!!!
• STS Worship & Message Sessions are on Saturday evening, Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Monday morning.
• Doug will be our chef for meals at the cabin again! Be sure to thank him!
• We will stop for lunch at Cracker Barrel on Monday as we had back home.

We are only ordering 12 tickets, so let Andy know to sign up and reserve your ticket!

Plan:

• Leave church at 12:00 and head down to Knoxville.
• Lunch at Mexican restaurant.
• Doors open at 4:00.
• We will stop at Buc-ee's on the way home for a snack!
• Bring money for snacks and/or merch.
