Mrs. Mader's Message
Hello Westside families,
A sincere token of gratitude from myself, the PTO, and the Westside teachers for your participation and support of our PTO Westside Wildcat Glow Run fundraiser. We surpassed our goal and will be completing the Fun Run today during grade level Specialist times! We are hoping to have video links in next week's Westsider to give you a glimpse into the fun had during the event! I (as well as some other Westside teachers), are looking forward to getting pied in the face next Friday during our assembly as a celebration for meeting our goal!
This week was busy with Inservice, a Cold Day, 2 nights of Parent Teacher Conferences, the Book Fair, and our Glow Run. We appreciate the time and energy you give to Westside supporting the work of your students and our amazing staff through these events. The partnerships we have with families make Westside such an incredible place. Thanks for all you do, and all of your continued support!
With kindness,
Rachel

February Character Trait: Perseverance
Perseverance is when you keep trying even when things get tough or challenging. It's not giving up easily and believing in yourself to achieve your goals.
Examples:Learning to write neatly even if it takes longer to complete an assignment.
Practicing your sport by working hard so you can try to make the team.
Studying hard for a test, even when you are tired or don't understand the material.
