Boosterthon Water Station: Hand out water as our Eagles run their laps! 3 time slots depending on grade.

Our Boosterthon kick-off is fast approaching and you can get a jump on fundraising! Rosewood Elementary Fun Run fundraiser has opened for early sign ups on MyBooster.com! This year’s fundraising goal is to raise $27,000 for school beautification and school activities. Kick-off is September 16th. For clay day this year, 4th graders will study clay vessels from around the world including Grecian Urns, Egyptian Canopic Jars, African American Face Jugs, and Chinese Ginger Pots. Students will create their own vessels inspired by what they learn.

TRANSPORTATION CHANGES

If your child needs to go home a different way than normal please send a note or email their teacher AND the front office at rachelle.bartlett@richlandone.org. If the person picking up in car rider or walker line is not on your pick up list, it has to be in writing by the parent for them to pick up. Last, but certainly not least, PLEASE do not call a change in after 1:45. End of day is already in motion and we want to make sure your child is in the right location to get home safely. Thank you!

Unexcused Absences – UNEX

• For any unexcused absence one the following must be remitted within 48 hours of the absence

Each Student is allowed to have 10 Parent Notes a year, once a student has reached 10 Parent Notes any Unexcused Absence after that will remain Unexcused (unless a medical, religious or bereavement excuse is provided)

• Vacations during the school year are not Excused Absences and will remain an Unexcused Absence

Truancy

• Once a student has accumulated 3 Consecutive Unexcused Absences or 5 Cumulative Unexcused Absences an Attendance Intervention Plan (AIP) is put into place.

• A meeting with Admin, Database and Parents will be held to discuss absences and develop a plan to ensure no other unexcused absences are accumulated.

• Once plan in place if student continues to accrue additional Unexcused Absences a petition will be completed requiring the Parents/Guardian to attend Family Court.
