Parking Lot Reminder:
ARRIVAL: When dropping off your students in the morning, please pull all the way up, do not pull around cars, and be careful when merging from the drop-off lane to the through traffic lane. We have had accidents and many near accidents.
Families, we appreciate your willingness to help us make pick-up and drop-off as smooth and quick as possible. During pick-up, please continue to PULL ALL THE WAY FORWARD, STAY IN YOUR CAR, and we will call for your child when you arrive. If you arrive early for pick-up, please stay in your car so when the gate opens cars can quickly move out the way.

Testing- CAASPP & ELPAC
Dear Lodi USD Parent/Guardians,
Every year, California students take several statewide tests. When combined with other measures such as grades, class work, and teacher observations, these tests give families and teachers a more complete picture of their child’s learning. You can use the results to identify where your child is doing well and where they might need more support. Your child may be taking one or more of the following:
- California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP)
- English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC)
- Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
To see the full information on the above assessments, please visit our Assessment, Research, and Evaluation (ARE) Department website. Please select the Annual Notification of Testing, 2024-2025 link.

Traffic Updates
CALIFORNIA'S DAYLIGHTING LAW AB 413
We are excited to announce our collaboration with the City of Lodi to help raise awareness about California’s new traffic law, AB 413. This legislation introduces important changes at improving road safety and ensuring responsible driving practices across the state.
As a community, it’s vital that we stay informed about laws that impact our daily lives. AB 413 prohibits the stopping, standing, or parking of a vehicle within 20 feet of the vehicle approach side of any marked or unmarked crosswalk or within 15 feet of any crosswalk where a curb extension/bulbout is present, whether or not the curb is painted red. This is a safety measure known as “Daylighting”. Effective January 2025, the rules will be applied whether or not the curb is painted red.

Updates from Mrs. Norris's Music Class
3rd and 4th Grade Recorder!
Your student will be learning to play the soprano recorder in Music Class. If you or your student has a soprano recorder they are encouraged to bring it to music class.
If your child has purchased a recorder, it is being stored in the music room for safe keeping. The recorder will be available for your student to bring home at the conclusion of our unit. This is always an exciting instrument to learn how to play. The students learn about note reading, breathing and rhythm patterns, which are part of our Classroom Music Curriculum.
