Here are MCP we emphasize knowledge, PLUS character. As a part of the MCP family please familiarize yourself with the MCP Family, Volunteer, and Visitor Code of Conduct. Every adult, staff and guest, are modeling the appropriate behavior expectations for our scholars.

Na-Cho Average Friday Dress Down Day - September 20th

• Dress Down Day Guidelines

We’re excited to announce a Surprise Dress Down Day on Friday, September 20, 2024! Please review the dress down expectations below so everyone can have fun while staying within our guidelines:

• Shirts:

- All shirts must have sleeves.

- Shirts should fully cover the waist and upper body (no midriff or cleavage visible).

• Footwear:

- Shoes must be worn at all times.

- Laces tied and straps fastened.

- Heel height should be 2 inches or less.

• Bottoms:

- Pants must be worn at the waist and conceal undergarments.

- Shorts and skirts must be fingertip length or longer.

- No holes in jeans/pants above the knee, and no lace-up pants.

- Leggings must be covered past the hip.

Attendance is important for every MCP Scholar. It is important that scholars have regular attendance. The school day is from 7:30 am to 3:10 pm. When scholars are late and/or leave early they are missing important information and instruction. MCP can best serve scholars when they are at school. Thank you in advance for getting your scholar to school every day.

We are officially kicking off the character development of our T.R.E.C.K. skills. Here at Milwaukee College Prep, we strategically and intentionally focus on trust, respect, empathy, courage, and knowledge. We encourage you all to continue these conversations and practice these skills at home.

Oct. 1st - 3rd Grade - Audubon - Jeans and red polo

Oct. 4th - 2nd Grade - Audubon - Jeans and red polo

Oct. 7th - 4th Grade - Audubon - Jeans and red polo

Oct. 8th - 7th Grade - Mitchell Park Domes - Jeans and red polo

Oct. 17th - 8th Grade - War Memorial - Regular school uniform

Oct. 28th - Picture Day - Regular school uniform

Monday October 28th - Picture Day

Students must wear their MCP uniform to school

Elementary - Navy blue pants and red MCP polo, crewneck or fleece

Middle School - Khaki or navy blue pants, white dress shirt and MCP vest plus tie or ascot

Practices - Please pick up your scholars by 4:45 at the end of activities.

Siblings cannot wait with people in sports. The will need to be picked up during dismissal.

• Leggings may only be worn under shorts, skirts or skorts.

• Tennis shoes or rubber-soled shoes that lace up (scholars may not wear crocs, sandals, foam runners or flip flops)

• Monday and Wednesday Uniform

• MCP navy blue vest worn over a white button-down shirt with a tie (boys) or ascot (girls)

• Tuesday, Thursday and Friday only:

• Red MCP Polo with lightbulb logo

• Khaki or navy blue pants (scholars must have on a belt if the pants/skirt/skort has belt loops)

• Walking shorts, skirts and skorts no more than three inches above the knee are allowed.

• Solid red, white, navy blue or black socks, tights or leggings (scholars may not wear patterned socks, tights or leggings under shorts/skirts/skorts)

• Leggings may only be worn under shorts, skirts or skorts.

• Tennis shoes or rubber-soled shoes that lace up (scholars may not wear crocs, sandals, foam runners or flip flops)

Did you know you can order student uniforms all year round?

Remember your orders will take up to 3 to 4 weeks to be completed and delivered to the school.

If you order now our company will process and complete your order for a delivery to the school in time for Open House.

Please take the time during the summer months to check on and update your scholars immunizations before the next school year.

Attached is the flyer for registration for the 24-25 Y-Care registration.

Anyone registering on Monday and Tuesday will not be able to start until that week Wednesday.

If they register on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday they will start the following Monday.

Registration will be online only this year. Parents need to follow the instructions on page 2 of the flyer to log into their account and then create a profile for each child. Any questions regarding registration should go to schoolage@ymcamke.org or 414-274-0759

These will be available at Open House but feel free to get ahead start.
