LIS Tiger Talk
March 21, 2025
Principal's Message
Tiger Families,
It was an amazing and busy last week before Spring Break. A BIG thanks to Mrs. Purdin, Mr. Gilbert and our Jr. Hope Squad members for planning a fun-filled week. Our students and staff participated in spirit days and special activities to spread kindness and hope.
Science Day was one to remember with engaging, fun presentations and hands-on activities. A huge thanks to Sudeepa Hall for planning this amazing day for our students. Thanks to all the volunteers and presenters for donating their time to support our students. This was a wonderful showing of community support for our Tigers.
We finished the week with our Hoops for Heart assemblies as part of the Kids Heart Challenge to raise money for the American Heart Association. Thanks to Mrs. Orsinelli for organizing this fundraiser. Thanks to all the families who donated and raised money for a good cause. Thanks to our LHS basketball players who participated in the fun with us this afternoon.
We hope everyone has a relaxing and safe Spring Break. We will see our students back on Monday, March 31st. Go Tigers!

Music Choices for Current 5th Grade Families
Many students were able to try instruments after their concert this week, and many others had already made their decision regarding their music class for next year. Others are still in the process of deciding. For more information, check out our 6th Grade Music Choices Intro slides. These slides will provide you with all of the information needed to make this decision. If, after viewing the slide show, you still have questions, please reach out to the appropriate member of the LIS music staff.
To inform the LIS staff of your child’s music choice for next year, please fill out the 2025-26 6th Grade Music Survey. This form is to be completed by parents with input from the student.
