All donations are due Friday, December 6th to 3305 Green Street. It's the old BSD facilities building between Claymont Community Center and Claymont Elementary School. Families will pick up starting Monday, December 9th.

Two of our students, Nin Amores and Cooper McDonald, are members of the Brandywine Bots VEX high school competitive robotics team 9039J Jinx. As of this past weekend, their team is ranked 5th in True Skills team ranking out of 10,788 high school teams worldwide. In the next few months they will be competing at competitions located in MD, VA, PA, and a VEX Signature event in WV. They have also received an invitation to the US Open National Championship and are working their way to the VEX Worlds Championship 2025.

World rankings will fluctuate throughout the rest of the season. In the world of HS competitive robotics, this is a major accomplishment.

Dear Mount Pleasant Families,

We thank you for being our partners as we work together to educate your children.

As we enter our third year of participating in the Panorama Survey, we continue to address building social-emotional learning skills as an important goal for our school district. We will ask 9th - 12th grade students to reflect on their mindsets and approaches to learning via an online survey they will be completing at school. The survey shouldn’t take more than 20-30 minutes to complete.

There are two parts to the survey, which will ask students to self-reflect on:

• Part 1: Sense of Belonging, Expectations, Classroom Learning Strategies
• Part 2: Mental Health, Diversity & Inclusion, and Cultural Awareness & Action.

The survey will launch and be available for student access from December 9th - December 13th, 2024.

We are asking all of our students to participate in the survey. Their responses will provide insight into their experiences and how we can improve as a district. Panorama safeguards your privacy, keeping your students’ responses confidential. We thank you in advance for your participation.

International Baccalaureate Applications and Choice Applications for the 2025-2026 School Year

As one of less than 210 demonstration schools in the country we are committed to continuous growth of our school community. This year we are working on improving students skills in note taking and critical reading using AVID's WICOR (Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, Reading) strategies as an anchor for teachers instructional planning. As part of our commitment to AVID we will host our Annual AVID Demonstration Showcase on January 30th. Educators from throughout our region will visit our school to learn on ways to implement or enhance their AVID programs.
