Dear Global Impact Academy Families,

Earlier this week a letter was mailed to the home of each student who is currently failing one or more classes. The letter contained the student's failing grade (69 or below) as of October 22nd and the teacher's email address.

Please encourage your scholar to study and review at home, take advantage of weekly tutorials with their teachers, and participate in upcoming Extended Learning and Flex Friday recovery/tutorial sessions.

· Flex Friday – Friday, November 8th (All Content Areas)

· Extended Learning – Saturday, November 16th (Science only) and Saturday, December 7th (ELA only)

If you have questions or concerns, please reach out to your child’s teachers directly via email to arrange a conference. The teacher(s) and email contact(s) can be found on the letter with your student’s current performance.

Red Ribbon Week is the largest drug prevention campaign that brings people and communities together to take a stand against drugs. Originally launched in 1988 with President and Mrs. Regan, with the official red ribbon week being October 23rd-31st. Individuals take this time to show their personal commitment to a drug-free lifestyle through the symbol of the Red Ribbon. “The mission of the Red Ribbon Campaign® is to present a unified and visible commitment towards the creation of a drug-free America." In addition, we will acknowledge and bring awareness to Breast Cancer Month on Tuesday, October, 29th. Please wear pink!

Dear Parent/Guardian,

At Fulton County Schools, we truly value the feedback from our parents about their experiences with the district. That is why I encourage all parents to take the Annual Parent Perception Survey. This survey allows parents the opportunity to tell us what they think about their student’s schools and the district. While we always make it a priority to listen to our parents, this survey affords us another opportunity to receive your thoughts and opinions.

The survey is anonymous and confidential. Please complete one survey per school where you have one or more students enrolled. The survey will remain open from Wednesday, October 16 through Friday, November 22.

It’s not only parents we want to hear from. Our students’ opinions are important too! Students in grades 3-12 will be provided with the opportunity to take the Annual Student Perception Survey between October 17 and November 22 during the school day. In our ongoing efforts to remain transparent with parents, please take a moment to review the 3-5 student survey and/or the 6-12 Student Survey.

The Annual Perception Survey is currently available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Hindi, and Punjabi. If you or your family would like to take it in a language that is not listed, please email your child’s principal.

This week we celebrated our wonderful Faculty & Staff for achieving our historic 100% Graduation Rate. What was supposed to be a faculty meeting turned into a cupcake party and balloon drop!
