MESSAGE FROM CIE HEAD
Mission Moment: Celebrating Progress and Purpose
Dear Parents, Staff Members, and Students,
As an integral part of Bodhi International School, I find immense pride in reflecting on our incredible journey together. In the hustle and bustle of daily operations, it's easy to lose sight of the bigger picture, but countless moments exemplify the essence of our purpose.
Reflecting on the past year, I've witnessed numerous success stories that encompass the spirit of Bodhi. From students excelling in academics and co-curricular activities to teachers surpassing challenging targets in education and character building, these moments reaffirm our commitment to holistic development.
Our endeavors haven't been confined within the walls of our classrooms; instead, we've embraced initiatives that extend beyond conventional boundaries. However, these achievements didn't materialize in isolation. They were the results of effective collaboration, thoughtful discussion, and meticulous planning. Each task undertaken was a deliberate step towards our overarching goal of preparing our students for the realities of the world they'll inherit.
In the spirit of continuous improvement, I invite each member of our community to reflect on their own ‘Mission Moment’. What have you witnessed or contributed to that aligns with Bodhi's vision? Why do you believe it resonates with our ethos? And importantly, what lessons can we glean to enhance our endeavors moving forward?
These mission moments aren't merely anecdotes; they serve as beacons of inspiration that can guide others. They may not always have a happy ending but may give us a clear direction. Let’s be confident in our ability to effect positive change and create the mission moments that propel us toward our educational aspirations.
Let's start today, and shape a future that aligns with our collective vision.
With gratitude and anticipation for the journey ahead,
Noopur Chaturvedi

EARLY YEARS
Seedlings
Earth Day- Earth Day is a special day dedicated to our wonderful planet Earth. On this day, we come together to appreciate the beauty of nature and reflect on how we can protect our environment.
To celebrate Earth Day, Seedlings had a special activity where they made nature bracelets and created nature scenery. They used materials like leaves, flowers, and twigs to create beautiful bracelets that they wore with pride. They also used their creativity to make stunning natural scenery, depicting the beauty of our planet.
Through these activities, kids learned to value the environment around them and the importance of taking care of it. They learned that every small action, like picking up litter or planting a tree, can make a big difference in protecting our planet.
UOI- During the Unit 'Who we are' kids have observed germs through the microscope and have learnt about the importance of hand washing. They were excited during the session, and they learnt that there are many things in the environment that cannot be seen through the naked eye.
Buds
Healthy habits- A journey of smiles and healthy habits. We explored the importance of healthy eating habits through fun and interactive activities where our little ones learned how to take care of their health. We felt very proud that our students eagerly participated in discussions about the importance of healthy food and unhealthy food through an activity of “good teeth & bad teeth’. Let's continue to encourage our little ones to practice good habits every day.
Measurement- Our class was filled with exciting discoveries as we delved into the world of measurement! From exploring the concepts of light and heavy , long and short to understanding empty and full, our little learners were busy exploring and experimenting. They had fun comparing objects to determine which ones were light and which ones were heavy. Through playful games (see- saw) and interactive exercises, they developed a keen understanding of weight and balance.
Earth Day- The class made a “Earth Day” craft using blue and green coloured paint, symbolizing the vital elements of water and trees. The children eagerly shared their insights, understanding that blue represents the oceans and rivers & green represents the trees that give us oxygen to breathe and homes to many animals. In the spirit of Earth Day, our young environmentalists also took part in a tree-planting activity in their home garden.
Blossoms
Earth Day was celebrated to raise awareness about environmental issues and inspire young minds to create a more sustainable future. Blossoms engaged in preparing a “nature’s bracelet” by exploring outdoor space. Fallen natural items like leaves, flowers, seeds, and small decorative elements like pebbles were collected by the students. Emphasis was laid on not plucking any leaf or flower, thereby laying the foundation of respecting living plants and ecosystems. Through this activity, participants not only created beautiful crafts but also deepened their respect and love for nature, igniting a lasting passion for conservation. By engaging in simple yet meaningful activities like nature's bracelet making, we honor Earth Day's spirit year-round, promoting a greener, healthier planet for all living beings.
Nurturing Wellness: The Importance of Healthy Eating Habits
Kindergarten is a foundational time for children to learn about healthy eating habits and make informed food choices. By engaging them in fun and interactive activities, we can nurture positive relationships with food and promote wellness from an early age. Food Group Sorting Fun for Blossoms was organized with the objective to help the tiny tots learn about different food groups and develop an understanding of healthy eating habits. Students were given wrappers of different food items. They were encouraged to identify the food and determine the category they belonged to- healthy food or junk food. The given wrapper was then pasted on the correct sorting area. Students were motivated to make informed choices with respect to the consumption of the given food item. Due emphasis was laid on the importance of eating a variety of foods from each group to stay healthy and strong. After the sorting activity, students were encouraged to draw or color their favorite foods from each food group on a worksheet.
Shape Treasure Hunt Adventure for Blossoms
The objective of the activity was to help kindergarten students identify and recognize basic shapes in a fun and an interactive way. Shapes were introduced and explained in detail to the children. The target shapes- square and triangle were hidden in the play area. The students were explained and encouraged to shape treasure hunt adventure to find the hidden shapes. Students explored the play area to find the hidden shapes. They were encouraged to identify and name the shapes as they found them. A relay story was enacted by the team that found all the shapes hidden.

They were inspired to take action to protect these animals and their habitats, reflecting the school's commitment to instilling values of empathy and environmental stewardship in its students.
Grade 2
From Mindfulness to Mini-Mission! ♻
Quality circle time is more than just a break from the academic routine; it's a dedicated space where children learn to communicate effectively, listen attentively, and respect diverse perspectives. Through sharing thoughts, feelings, and experiences, students build empathy, understanding, and confidence in expressing themselves.
This time the Quality Circle Time had an exciting twist! Following a peaceful mindfulness session outside, a student noticed a plastic bottle cap on the ground. This led to a chat about pollution and how even tiny actions can make a huge difference.
In no time, the entire class was bursting with ideas! We discussed recycling and looking after our surroundings. Before we realized it, everyone was pitching in to pick up litter, transforming our mindfulness stroll into a mini clean-up adventure!"
Mini market Teamwork
Role play isn't just play; it's a powerful tool for learning and development. Through imaginative scenarios and pretend play, children delve into various roles, fostering creativity, empathy, and critical thinking skills. Our grade 2 students took a trip back in time today! They explored the world of bartering with a fun pretend play activity. They became buyers and sellers, setting up shop with all sorts of goodies - from toy fish and colourful veggies to silly puppets! But wait, there's more! Some even offered services like bike taxis, mechanic fixes, and even transportation! The best part was watching them negotiate! They had to convince each other why their "goods" were the perfect trade for what they needed or wanted. It was all about communication and social skills in action! ️ They also came up with concepts of measurement (light and heavy, long and short) and quality (using relevant adjectives) We saw some fantastic barters happen, all based on needs and wants.
Teamwork: Teamwork is like a superpower. It teaches children how to communicate effectively, listen attentively, and respect diverse perspectives. By collaborating with their peers, they learn the power of sharing ideas and working towards common goals.
Another round of Quality Circle Time got exciting with a fun teamwork activity! We played a game where one student was blindfolded and had to rely on their classmates' instructions to find pencils on the ground. The students called out directions, guiding their blindfolded teammate closer and closer to the pencil. It was a fantastic way to see them practice active listening, clear communication, and working together towards a common goal. But the learning didn't stop there! After successfully (or maybe hilariously) finding the pencil, the class reflected on the experience. They discussed what worked well - maybe it was clear instructions or positive encouragement - and even identified areas for improvement. It was amazing to see their critical thinking skills blossom as they strategized how to be an even more effective team next time.
Grade 3
UOI- Through the ongoing inquiry theme, "Sharing the Planet," students of grade 3 got an opportunity to examine a single concept through multiple perspectives. Inspired by the film "Madagascar," students reflected on its themes, leading them to delve into the interactions between animals and the impact of human intervention on their lives.
Through a sorting activity featuring diverse fauna and flora, students gained insights into the various interpretations of shared activities. Working collaboratively, they applied their prior knowledge to categorize the elements, showcasing the diversity of viewpoints, all valid and enriching.
Exploring the wildlife and plant life in their immediate surroundings, students showcased their findings, demonstrating a deepened understanding of their environment. These experiences serve as invaluable opportunities for inquiry and exploration, continuously broadening the horizons of their learning journey.
Exploring the World of Judy Moody- In our recent English session, the students embarked on an exciting journey into the world of literature through inquiry-based learning. The adventure centered around the delightful lesson "Judy Moody Saves the World," a humorous tale from the Journey book that not only entertained our students but also sparked profound discussions about our planet and our responsibility in taking care of it.
As students delved into the material, they took charge of their learning by generating their own questions, prompting thoughtful discussion and analysis.
This proactive approach not only enriched our student's understanding of the text but also empowered them to express their thoughts and ideas with confidence. Further, this process also honed their critical thinking skills and empowered them to articulate nuanced statements, fostering deeper connections with the text and promoting meaningful communication within the classroom environment.
