Principal's Message
Youth night Friday night at the ONW football was a fun time for many of our students! Our choir sang the National Anthem and did a wonderful job! Our band joined the Raven band during the first half in the stands and at halftime playing the fight song - great job! Our football team ran out and was introduced at the beginning of the game. This sure was a fun community evening!
Just a reminder - another fun community evening is coming soon! Save the date for our night football game on Wednesday, September 25. The PRT Huskies take on the FT Jags at CBAC at 6pm.
Have a wonderful Sunday - and Go Chiefs!

The store is open now and will close on September 16th at 11:59 PM, so don’t wait! Click the link below to order your shirt and make a difference today.

High School Pathways Fair
On Tuesday, September 17th all 8th grade students will attend the High School Pathways Fair at Johnson County Community College (JCCC). Students will be leaving Prairie Trail at 11:35 and return to school by 12:45pm that day. Please try to avoid scheduling appointments during this time.
This annual event gives students advanced insights into the incredible career pathway options available through the Olathe Schools beginning in high school. This is a great way for the students to gain information about a wide variety of course and program offerings by engaging with high school students currently in those programs from all five high schools and the Olathe Advanced Technical Center (OATC).
Historically, students have responded very positively to this event. They find it to be a fun, engaging field trip that gives them an opportunity to learn about the great career pathway options available. Since students will need to make decisions about different pathways of interest before winter break of their 8th grade year, this event allows students to begin considering which programs are the best fit for them.
To help our students prepare for this event, counselors are visiting classrooms to help them determine careers or career pathways of interest and sharing with them the expectations for the Career Pathways Fair. We will be asking our students to conduct themselves in a professional manner and encouraging them to dress in school spirit wear the day of the event.
For more information about the available career pathways, see the diagram on page 2 and visit Olathe Career Pathways at: https://www.olatheschools.org/careerpathways
**If you would prefer your child not attend Career Expo on September 17th, please contact Ariel Brown. (arlbrown@olatheschools.org) by 9:00am on Monday, September 16th. **
