Book Fair
Book Fair Opens Next Week!

Save the date to visit the Snail Lake Scholastic Book Fair during parent communication nights. This is a great opportunity to purchase books that build a love of reading while also supporting our school library.
Box Tops for Education
Snail Lake Kindergarten Center participates in Box Tops for Education. We would appreciate your support in earning funds for our school.
To get started:
- Download the app from your app store
- Complete Set Up and begin scanning receipts
It's a quick and easy way to help support our school!
In addition, this month's Box Tops monthly challenge asks participants to link their Wal-Mart account. Everyone who connects their accounts for the first time, now through 11/30, will earn 50 Bonus Box Tops ($5) for our school. We really appreciate your support!
Give to the Max Day
Early giving for Give to the Max is happening NOW and continues through Give to the Max Day on Nov. 21. Consider donating to the Mounds View Schools Education Foundation, a local nonprofit whose mission is simply to support all MVPS students. We accept donations from individuals, donor advised funds, corporate matches and donations via checks. Donate here to elevate our student's access to excellence.
This year, the School Board is asking the community to provide feedback regarding student use of cellphones in schools. Nearly 4,000 people shared their thoughts in an online survey, and about 200 people attended community conversations. Survey results and themes from the conversations will be shared with the community in the coming weeks. This feedback also will be shared with an advisory committee of parents, students and staff for their review. The group will identify themes found in the responses and provide recommendations to the School Board. The feedback and recommendations will ultimately be used to help inform the creation of a cell phone policy. Learn more at mvpschools.org/cellphones.
Apparel stores open!
Show your school spirit! Apparel stores are now open through November 14. For guaranteed holiday delivery, order by November 12. Find your school and place an order at mvpschools.org/spiritwear.
News from the Library
Explore a new holiday! Our library has books about Thanksgiving, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, Diwali, Lunar New Year, Christmas, and other popular winter celebrations. If your child would like to borrow a book about one of these holidays, have them ask when they visit the library.

Kowalski's Groceries for Good Causes
Snail Lake Kindergarten Center is a participant in the Groceries for Good Causes program at the Kowalskis in Shoreview. The Groceries for Good Causes program allows shoppers to choose which neighborhood organizations matter most to them. Simply drop your grocery receipt in one of the bins to "vote" for the organization you'd like to support, and Kowalski's will donate a percentage of their quarterly charitable giving budget based on the number of receipts in each box.
