Message From the Principal
Dear Tuffree community,
With students settling into the school year, we could use your help as we address online etiquette and appropriate social media behaviors. Over the past couple of weeks, there have been multiple TikTok and Instagram accounts created that's sole purpose is to make fun of or "expose" another student or students. While this does not take place at school, the effects of cyberbullying spill over into our school day and adversly affects the educational setting. We strive to keep Tuffree as safe as possible, but unfortunately we cannot positively impact the online behavior of students alone. We will continue to address these issues as they arise, and educate through behavior expectations, SOAR lessons, and assemblies. We ask that you take a moment to discuss the importance of approriate online behavior and reiterate the zero tolerance policy around harassment and bullying to your student. It takes a village to raise kids right, and we appreciate your partnership.
On to more fun stuff!!! The Boo Bash was a blast! A big thank you to ASB for putting on such a fun event. After the costume warm-up at the Boo Bash, we move onto the real thing on Thursday! One of my favorite days of the year -- Halloween! We encourage students to lean into the season and dress up, but we do have some parameters that I want to ensure you are aware of. Please take a moment to be familiar with these guidelines for costumes.
Enthusiastically,
Sarah Barton, Principal
