Hello Lowell Families!

I hope you’ve had a great week! Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year. School begins on Thursday, August 6 for all students. We are excited to begin a new year with our students!

We will be hosting a Back to School Night for our students and families next Tuesday,

August 4.

On Tuesday, August 4 from 5:30pm - 7:00pm, we will host a Back to School Night for our students who will be attending school in person. Grades 1 - 4 will have a virtual Back to School Night. We will host two sessions to meet the scheduling needs of families. The first session will be from 5:30pm - 6:00pm and the second session will be from 6:15pm - 6:45pm.

We are offering an in-person Back to School Night for our Kindergarten students only on August 4 as well.

We are asking that kindergarten students are accompanied by one parent for the event to assist us with minimizing the number of people in our classrooms so that we can meet our social distancing guidelines. Siblings and other family members will not be able to attend. Parents and students are required to wear a mask to our Back to School Night event.

Students whose last names begin with the letters A - M are scheduled to come from 5:30pm - 6:00pm. Students whose last names begin with the letters N-Z are scheduled to come from 6:15pm - 6:45pm.

We would like for our Kindergarten families to park on the south side of the building and enter through Door 12. Staff will be there to greet you and show you to your child’s appropriate classroom.

Parents will not be allowed to accompany students into the school building on the first day of school so this will provide your kindergarten student an opportunity to meet his or her teacher and locate his or her classroom before their first day.

Please remember students in grades 1 - 4 will have virtual back to school night meetings. Only kindergarten students will have in person meetings.

Your child’s teacher will be contacting you on Monday, August 3 to introduce himself or herself and to provide more information about Back to School Night.

For families who have students who will be participating in virtual learning, there will be a device and textbook pickup in order to get needed materials to our virtual students on Tuesday, August 4 from 5:30pm - 7:00pm at Lowell.

Kindergarten students will receive a school issued ipad. 4th grade students should return their Chromebooks and chargers so that they can receive a school issued iPad. All other students should use the device that was issued last spring. If you did not receive a device, a device will be issued to you on Tuesday evening.

This is a drive-thru pick-up. Please remain in your car. Staff will come to your car to retrieve needed information and will bring materials to you.

I know the first day of school is coming quickly, and you are eager to learn more about your student's teachers and classes. Your student's virtual teacher will contact you by Wednesday, August 5th to share more information.

Warren Township is currently accepting new registrations for the 20-21 school year. If your student ended the school year in a Warren Township school, you do not need to take any additional action to be registered for school. If you are new to Warren Township and want to register your student for the upcoming school year, you may register online:

Students who will be physically present at Lowell for the 20-21 school year are asked to bring their devices back to school with them upon our return. Items needed to be returned are:

• iPad or Chromebook
• Charging/Power Cord
• Device Case

Students who will be participating in virtual learning will keep their devices at home with them in order to support their learning. More information will be released prior to the start of school regarding tech support for devices and for those students who need a device for virtual learning.

It is helpful to know if your family will be returning to Lowell for the 2020-2021 school year. The renovation at Lowell is going strong!! It is amazing just how much work has been done over the past few months! We are excited to see the progress!
