State Leaders Conference
The State Leaders Conference was held on March 10-13 in Washington, DC. State Leaders from across the nation gathered to discuss education issues and meet with their congressmen(women). It was a great learning experience and the North Dakota Delegation (Mark Andresen, Mike Arlien, David Saxberg, Jeremy Mehlhoff, Jared Blikre, Todd Hetler, and Chris Bastian) successfully met with Sen. Hoeven and Rep. Armstrong.

NDAESP Federal Relations Officer Position is Open!
David Saxberg has reached the end of his eligibility to serve as our Federal Relations Officer. We would like to thank him for his years of service to the position. He has worked extremely well with both the State and National Legislators. Thank you, Dave!
NDAESP is now taking applications for the Federal Relations Officer position.
Job Description:
Section 7. Federal Relations Office Responsibilities
- Elected by the members of NDAESP through the voting procedure prescribed in the constitution.
- Serve as a voting member of the NDAESP Executive Committee.
- Serve a three-year term, not to exceed two consecutive terms.
- Coordinate and communicate regularly with Congressional Delegation, keeping them apprised of educational issues.
Increase federal involvement opportunities for North Dakota members.
Timeline:
NDAESP will accept applications from now to May 31. An online election will be made available immediately following the NDCEL Summer Conference.
