Principal's Point of View
Dear Remarkable Razorback Families,
What an exciting week we had on campus! This year's "Teach or Treat" competition was filled with friendly competition, and I loved seeing our students so engaged and our families out celebrating with us. It truly was a fun and festive time!
As we wrap up October, we shift our focus toward the season of giving with Thanksgiving just around the corner. Thanks to our wonderful partnership with The Spring/Woodlands/Huntsville Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc., we are once again able to assist families in need by providing Thanksgiving dinners—complete with a turkey and all the trimmings, with the help of our students.
At Roberson, we pride ourselves on being a service-minded campus. It is my mission to help students understand the importance of serving others as a key part of becoming responsible citizens. Each community within our school, including teachers and staff, is contributing specific items to support this cause. If your family is in need of assistance this Thanksgiving, please complete the confidential form linked here: Thankful Giving Assistance. A Razorback staff member will coordinate with you regarding pick-up times and dates.
As Halloween approaches this Thursday, students have been buzzing with excitement about costumes! Costumes will be allowed; however, they must follow the dress code. No masks are permitted during the school day, and costume-related weapons are prohibited for safety reasons.
Lastly, I encourage you to check in with your scholar regarding their National History Day project, which is due on Friday, November 1st. This is a required project for all students as part of their social studies class, so please remind them of the deadline.
Thank you for being such involved and informed parents! October has been nothing short of outstanding, and we are excited for a "Notable November" filled with more learning, growth, and service.
Thank you for your continued support, and here’s to another fantastic month at Roberson Middle School—where magic happens and the impossible becomes possible!
With warm regards,
Cecelia Brumsey
Relentless Principal
