Getting started is as easy as 1..2…3
- Download the Kids Heart Challenge App or visit heart.org/KHC to register.
- Choose your daily health challenge to Move More or Be Kind and earn your own BE THE TORCH wristband so you can help light the way!
- Get a head start on COMPLETING FINN’S MISSION in your Headquarters, where you and your family can put the power of lifesaving Hands-Only CPR into YOUR hands and help us create a community of lifesavers! Try to do all 8 activities to complete the Mission!
- Don’t forget: Double your Gift! Check to see if your employer will match your donation today! Follow the steps and forward the confirmation to matchinggifts@heart.org to have this added to the student’s fundraising page.
One Book One School
As a connection to the One Book One School Rescue At Lake Wild, beavers have been the learning topic in many library media center lessons this week. Fifth graders read informational articles about beavers, animal rehabilitators, and keystone species. Next week, they’ll teach their classmates what they learned and play their favorite review game, Blooket, to test their new knowledge. Second graders practiced using nonfiction text features to read about beavers and then played a partner board game. First graders took notes about beavers from the database, Pebble Go, and played a class Baamboozle game. Families are encouraged to keep reading the book together. According to the reading schedule on the LMC website, we should be halfway through the book!
5Essentials Survey
Please take a few minutes to complete the 5Essentials Survey. Your participation in the parent portion of the survey will help us understand the conditions at our school and guide improvement. A report will be generated only if we have at least 20 percent parent participation. As of today, we only have 4% participation.
