Swimming Good News!
30 Ways to Say Yay goes to Mrs. Mohrbutter! Mrs. Mohrbutter is an amazing staff member at McMillan and a veteran with a childs' spirit. She has perfect attendance, coaches wrestling, teaches students to read, makes plans and follows through to support all students, and does whatever it takes to help her students be successful. Whenever any staff person asks, "Hey Mrs. Mohrbutter, can you....", the answer is always "yes" and to find a way. She puts her heart into teaching and is there for all staff no matter what the circumstances. Thank you Mrs. Mohrbutter for all you do!
- Women’s History Month honors and celebrates the struggles and achievements of women throughout United States history. American women have struggled to gain rights for themselves, and for underrepresented and disenfranchised groups.

30 Ways to Say Yay to Mrs. Gorczyca as she brings her elementary joy for teaching and learning to her classroom at McMillan. With her own children in high school and college - one who plays D1 football for the Jayhawks, Mrs. Gorczyca is able to tie her learning at the middle school to future experiences for her students. She knows each of her students and their families personally, and goes out of her way to ensure they are successful. Thank you Mrs. Gorczyca for all you do to bring a love of learning and for your content area to your students!

Good News:
30 Ways to Say Yay! Mr. Elliott has been a welcomed addition to the Nurses office and we are excited to have him at McMillan. They take on tasks and work with students to not only support Nurse B, but to create a warm environment where all students feel safe to be themselves and gain access to wellness and education. Students love to interact with them, and we are thankful to have them at McMillan working with Nurse B!

- Shirley Ann Jackson (born 1946): A theoretical physicist and the first African American woman to earn a doctorate from MIT, Shirley Ann Jackson has made significant contributions to the field of physics and has held leadership roles in academia and industry, including as the president of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Being safe at McMillan is job one. Do not open any door for any human to get into this building. All adults have keys and cards, and all students must enter and check into the door. Officer Aquazzino does door checks 4 x daily to ensure we are secure. Do your part, and never prop a door open.
